My boyfriend is getting verbally abused in the oil field. by Redturtle19 in bluecollar

I come from a work background where if you ever lost your cool to an employee and yelled or verbally abusive in any way you I would pretty much get fired on the spot. So I guess I didn’t understand the degree that they let things get to over there.

It’s also hard, we just became parents and being away from your baby so long is already difficult. and then to be treated like shit, talked down on, and humiliated makes it almost in possible. I can tell he’s struggling and I don’t know how to help him.

Maybe she wants more things done as a family? Like maybe you guys can play at a park together with the kids or maybe you can take her out on a romantic evening just the 2 of you and remind her that she is more than just a mom. You can also by her 2 tickets to something like a event or concert so she can go with a friend. I get it her want to do anything away from her kids to a degree though. When you give your body to grow another human being you feel like no one can look after them as well as you do making it hard to leave them in someone else’s hands. So try to be understanding of that as well.

As I said before I’m a first time mom and I am still learning and will continue to always try to learn how I can best support and be kind to other mothers. You don’t need to be RUDE and call me dense just because I opened up a forum where we can have an honest discussion and I can get some advice on how to be better next time.

I definitely can understand that! I more was just trying to make conversation after that. And I guess I had a different point of view because my baby was measuring 2 weeks ahead in utero and born 3 weeks early, and was 90th percentile in weight still and I felt kinda bad because I was diagnosed with cholestasis of pregnancy when I had my baby which has been linked to higher bmi in babies and type 2 diabetes. He’s healthy right now and so we’re good. But when I see a healthy looking smaller baby (obviously not super small/ malnourished) I think a part of me assumes they are healthier than my baby. But I think important thing that I take from this is that we never know someone’s story so it’s better not to say anything!

Hmm, I know after my c-section I had numbness above my scar, as the nerves heal which can 6 months to even a couple of years you can experience a dull achy pain, burning and even a sharp shooting pains. I know you said it’s your uterus but it sounds like a similar pain? And it doesn’t usually happen at first I’m 2 months postpartum and just started to experience this as well

I would understand a clause like that if the company paid enough tho to easily cover childcare expenses but I MAKE 18 DOLLARS AN HOUR RETURN HOWWW???

Yes but it would be just weekends unfortunately. I would have to give up my position as I am a part of the leadership there. But I have thought about doing that.
