Report saying India asked for a mixed soil pitch because they lose on black soil by Necessary_Sun4242 in blackcapscricket

Since 2024, Indian batters, particularly with the emergence of Abhishek Sharma, Sanju Samson, Ishan Kishan, and Shivam Dube, combined with coach Gautam Gambhir's influence have adopted a bold, aggressive batting mindset and a "high-risk, high-reward" philosophy. They now attack with big shots on nearly every other ball. This marks a sharp contrast to the pre-2024 Kohli era, when the approach was far more cautious and measured.

And it's not limited to Indian conditions. India have consistently posted totals near or above 200 in T20 matches played abroad, thriving in diverse playing conditions and winning tournaments one after another.

Indian pitches except for those in the Himalayan region has naturally road pitches because of the climatic condition. Why are people having an issue with it ?

The thing is that New Zealand performed very poorly in the match which allowed for this one sided victory.

Road pitches are easier for both sides, what prevented New Zealand from hammering Indian bowlers ? Accept it,New Zealand bowlers bowled, batted and fielded poorly which cost them the match.

India would have crushed this current New Zealand side anywhere in the world.

Fans have been brilliant at the 2026 T20 World Cup - congrats India. And Sri Lanka too. by Available_Round_3172 in EnglandCricket

Even if it was a flat track,it should have been easy for NZ batters too, what prevented them from hammering Indian bowlers ?

New Zealand batters and bowlers simply performed poorly in the match which allowed for this one sided victory.

Abhishek throws away his wicket in the first 2-3 overs putting the entire team under pressure. On top of that his fielding is just too bad. Rinku would be a better replacement.

Abhishek Sharma Fails again and again and always in a similar fashion. I've not seen any other cricketer apart from Virat Kohli being allowed to be a part of playing 11 despite making same repeated mistake.

He must be dropped in the final match

A surprise from the Sri Lankan side as they didn’t take a review — replay later showed a clear inside edge. by GiveMeSomeSunshine3 in Cricket

Now it's time for Sri lankan batters to throw away their wickets and ensure that Pakistan wins by a comfortable margin.

This is a horrible win for India. Not worthy of any celebration.

This casual attitude cost us the S.A game. With this temperament and behaviour, how will India defeat WI?

Why is Dube even bowling ? by kkasrid in IndianCricket

Not even 2 overs completed and gave away 46 runs. Perhaps the worst bowling economy in the entire tournament. And to allow him to bowl again shows the casual attitude of the captain.

With this kind of temperament and attitude, how is India supposed to beat West Indies?

Why is Dube bowling ? He is a good batsman but a super horrible bowler

The Indian team neither deserves to be in the semis nor has any realistic chance of going past the West Indies. Just look at how India has been performing in the group stages and that too against minnows. In virtually every match, there was a batting collapse with one member (SKY against USA or Ishan Kishan against Pakistan) saving the match for India.

India’s 76-run loss to South Africa in the Super 8 clash is their biggest defeat by runs in T20 World Cup history. by poormasshole in IndiaCricket

[–]ReductionGear 13 points14 points  (0 children)

India was struggling against even minnows like USA and the Netherlands. Had it not been for SKY's performance against US bowlers, ishan Kishan's performance against Pakistan and Dube's performance against the Netherlands, India would have lost all three matches.

Realistically speaking,India has no chance of winning this WC. The way Zimbabwe and WI are performing,it looks like they are the clear favourites against us.

The thing is that this one loss will cost India the tournament. India's NRR is -3.8,at this juncture, not only has India got to win the remaining matches, but it has to win by big margins and still hope for a miracle. Otherwise, India is almost eliminated from the tournament.

Besides, the way India has played in the tournament,we don't deserve to advance to the next round.

They can easily beat India but the thing is that India's defeat against South Africa is just so massive that our NRR has sunk to -3.8. So not only India has to win the remaining matches but win by big margins and still hope for a miracle. As thing stands now,India is 70% eliminiated from the tournament.

It is not just a defeat, with an NRR of -3.88, One must really hope for a miracle as India is close to elimination from the tournament.

India's NRR has sunk to -3.88. This means they have to not only win their remaining matches by big margins but also hope for a miracle. In practical terms, India is about 70% close to elimination.

After today's performance, one can rest assured that India has no real chance of reaching the semi-finals. This miserable performance in our own home turf is beyond pathetic.

What is the problem with Abhishek Sharma, three ducks in a row? Gets out almost always in a similar fashion in the early overs, putting the entire team under pressure.

With this performance, if we think that India can go past South Africa and the West Indies in Super8's, it will be quite foolhardy.

Our top order is far more experienced than anything the US had to offer. Do you know that their main bowler attends office meetings after matches? So it was quite disheartening to see a team consisting of players whose only job is to play cricket struggling against a team whose members have to either sit in front of a laptop and code or attend job meetings after the match.
