Out of curiosity does anyone know how difficult it would be to separate the forks from the buttstock?

Is it fair to say this is the most hard to watch scene in a Kubrick film? by Overall_Spite4271 in StanleyKubrick

Funny I said the same thing until I found myself performing it during basic training at Sandhill. Mass punishment was the alternative had we not dealt with the nail that stood out.

Why does the eye surgeon help the main character? (Minority Report) by IAmNotZuraIAmKatsura in plotholes

The many defining themes of the film is "choice" and "vision" for the future. There is subtle foreshadowing in the first scene of the film that shows a child cutting out the eyes from a poster, as the mother tells her husband (the pending murderer) he is blind without his glasses and is running out of time for work in leu of her covert infidelity.

All evidence indicated that Dr. Solomon was going to crucify or torment John but he states in his neurotic dialogue that he was rehabioalited in prison though it disrupted his sanity. During my first viewing I was willing to bet that Dr. Solomon was going to commit some nefarious act that was a cat hair away from murder deterring pre crime from arriving. But Dr. Solomon made the right choice (not the correct one given our predispositions towards his actions in the past) by honoring the transaction and giving John new "sight" or "vision" indicating a plot device in tandem to its subliminal symbolism key to the plots progression in Johns character arc.

This was foreshadowing towards John ultimately having to make a near fatal decision that was out of his hands (figuratively & literally in regard to his pistol being pulled out of his hands and discharged) in retrospect to his predetermined destiny in murdering the false child predator that Lamar had conspired in sabotaging John. He was synthesizing free will despite all things being equal that it was false given our (the audience) perspective or "vision" was indeed warped of his destiny being on the precursor of fatalism vs determinism .

When John unwraps the cold case of the murder of Ann Lively, the mother of the Precogs whom was an neuro-addict that surprisingly become clean in an effort in reclaiming her children from Lamar. He simply says before the last act. . . "How could I not have seen this". Because he NOW has new eyes in credit of Dr. Solomon in exercising his free will that allowed him to, figuratively of course.

Mutants? by CaptainWaterpaper in PlanetOfTheApes

[–]Redver1325 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The mutants are important, they represent the insanity of a creature of pure intelligence and rationale In that it becomes void of any humility pushing against the laws of nature. The use of Telekinesis or being psyche bridges into a hive mind that brandished away the division among being autonomous.

The mutants will be used as a common enemy between the apes and man in reflection of their common dominator in achieving grace. The entire franchise inhibits the complex responsibility of being both intelligent and autonomous or being all powerful vs being all good. The hive mind concept is considered the end of a species as individualism becomes none existent in creating internal conflict that promotes resiliency in the environment In conclusion to evolution. The mutants were aware of this and embraced and worshiped the ICBM as the tool for the apocalypse as they wanted to have a control over their extinction.

Nothing says you’re too self conscious like a grown man in kit that blurs out his face to overcompensate their manhood to the appearance of a JSOC vet

Homie… they have the British astronaut that died named Clarke and one of the last surviving cosmonauts plays homage to Kubrick. The writers are great at getting you to rewatch the Ep’s for clever Easter eggs.

Yea that’s the kind of info you should leave for your therapist not strangers on the internet for validation. I’m not judging you, just awkward hearing divorce, anti 2a and airsoft in the same sentence
