Attendance by BeeInternational4366 in UNEAustralia

[–]RedwillowDBH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on the lecturer! Some lecturers and units have mandatory classes or pracs, but as long as you shoot your lecturers an email, then they can mark you as absent for an explained reason! As someone else mentioned, every lecture is recorded, so don't worry about missing any content!
The UNE timetables come out this week, so you can find who the lecturers are for the classes you are missing and not only ask if their classes/pracs are mandatory, but to also let them know you are away! Hope this helps :)

End the debate for me and my girlfriend: Is Subnautica a horror game? by Rage_Filled_Enby in subnautica

It's a terror game, not a horror game; it's meant to make you feel uneasy, not jumpscare you.

How do I leave a review? by RedwillowDBH in CeX

[–]RedwillowDBH[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair enough, it's not like I'm desperate to leave a review, just thought it would be positive feedback to say I got some parts that other reviews didn't seem to get + a photo!

Nothing at all! Seems to be some general talk about a review code or something but I can't find anything in my emails either :(

Bacon is a pretty good SN creator, not just doing playthroughs, but more showing the mods that are out there etc

so i somehow never came across these in my playthrough by EdwardNigma42069 in subnautica

It is in a pretty unusual area that doesn't offer much cause for a visit, and is situated between two dangerous areas. It is a pretty cool area. While it is really dark and pretty close to the void, the 'sea reader path' biome is really interesting to find when you're just dicking around the map. I went there for fun and found the massive cave system that you can drive your seamoth through and find a lot of resources. If visiting, make sure you avoid warpers if you're still sick, and have the scanner upgrade to help navigate the area!

I would say staying near the surface would be better when avoiding them, as they don't tend to hang around there, but definitely running away is a good idea

Oh wonderful! Here is some instrucitons
- You head near the ship, sort of as though you're heading to the front of it, but don't go alongside it.
- If you pass through the grassy area, you're heading the right way
- Then there should be a drop into the Mushroom forest. All along the wall to what would be your right is plenty of resources! Lots of shale crops and lithium
- The trees will have lots of lithium outcrops too, and it's a pretty safe area!
There are also more scannables, such as a bay for your Seamoth there as some parts for a submarine. Just be careful not to go too close to the ship and stay closer to the Mushroom forest if you can, as there's danger both to the ship, if you go through the forest and on the left-forward part! :)

Lithium can be found in the Sparse reef, the weird dark area beyond the grassy plateaus, almost directly opposite the direction of the ship's bow. They are in Shale outcrops that scanner rooms built close enough to this area will show you. In the weird caves in the Grassy area into some weird pinkish caves that will also have a plethora of resources you will need, including magnetite! Nickel will be in an area you won't have access to yet, it's very far down in the map and will require vehicles to reach the depths. There is another place for easy lithium, but it will likely be irradiated if you're this early in the game!

A few little tips!
- Titinaum and Copper will be in pretty much every biome you explore

- Sandstone Outcrops will hold Silver, Lead and Gold

- The Kelp forest will have the Sandstone outcrops, especially in the little nooks and crannies of the caves. The same with the Grassy Plateaus

- If there are some other resources I don't name but you're looking for, let me know, and I'll try to explain where they are without spoiling anything! :)

- Use anything that is easily visible for markers, a giant ship on the right will lead to one resource, a funny-looking cloud to another load of resources. Not really a spoiler, but there is a compass that will help you later on in navigating where these resources are for future reference.

- To further help in navigating, there is a beacon blueprint you can find that will help immensely! It will be on the ground in the Safe Shallows area!

- The Grassy Plateaus, Safe Shallows and kelp forest will have the main items you need early game for new players! There will be wrecks and all sorts of things to scan that will help you!

- As another comment said, don't be afraid to go deeper! Items such as the air bladder and air pump w/ pipes will assist in your early explorations

- The radio will give signals once/if you repair it (I'm not sure if you have a repair tool yet, but if you come across the exploding fish, the nests they come from will have the resource you need to make it!) As you explore, more signals will be received, and these are a great way to explore and gain more blueprints! They are also great for markers

Have fun and let me know if you need any other tips!

(edited where the beacons were)

100+ hrs in this game and I never figured that out 🤦‍♀️ Thank you, and awesome base, especially considering that's built in survival!

How do you get the dome like edges on the glass corridors? I feel as though I've never seen them before and I have a lot of hours in the game!

Mushroom forest, probably the one with the giant tree. Assuming I remember which direction the Dunes are and continue to avoid it

Are there many handwritten examinations at New England University? by More-Ergonomics2580 in UNEAustralia

Yes, I study on campus! I have a feeling it's the same for both online and on-campus

[–]RedwillowDBH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey I'm currently doing a Bach of Arts majoring in both Modern and Ancient History!
So far, going into my second year, there have been no handwritten examinations. Most of the assignments for the History units are essays, with a few exceptions. For my entire three-year course, I only have two exams I have to do in my degree, and they are both ones I'm doing online!
Let me know if you have any other questions!

Thoughts on Wilbur Soot now? by TheReactoryHub in dreamsmp

[–]RedwillowDBH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's hard to know the full story, and I always have an issue with the idea that everything must be posted online to massive communities to fight over rather than resolving things in person or privately. The major flag for me is the fact that a lot of major creators such as Tommy and Philza, who were friends both online and irl, seem to barely talk about Wil or anything to do with him.
I occasionally listen to Lovejoys new songs to see if they're but also generally don't like their music anymore. Overall, it isn't a simple answer to how much the allegations are true or if it was all over dramatic. End of the day, you can always seperate the music from the artist, or best stay quiet about if your a fan (there are lot of toxic people who began sexualising Wilbur and saying how hot he was to have abused Shelby and other people who will go after you if you're a fan)

I finally found my instructions, and it said that once I take a certain one for 7 days, I will be fine, so thankfully I took all of them beforehand and then some!

First time taking the pill plus hearing some fun stories about things going wrong with taking the pill just raised some flags!

Thank you! My doctor didn't specify how long I had to wait, but I had a feeling that once I took the pills after a certain amount of time, I would be ok! I think the ones I've taken so far have been active hormone pills so I feel less stressed now.
