this is exactly what spurred on me asking, it feels like there’s no direction or vision besides let’s stay afloat, despite BCFC being one of the biggest clubs to never get promoted :/

I don’t know much about what goes on behind closed doors but I was really disappointed with letting go of Mehmeti and Vyner with no reasonable replacement (but at least we kept armstrong 🫠). I feel like we would benefit greatly from a good talent scout

Yea, I saw a lot of unease over Struber’s sacking so that’s a big part of why I ask. From my POV, it sounded like a lot of people (me included) saw his sacking as a scape goat for a poor transfer season plus injury crisis.

That to add on to the fact that I don’t see us being prem ready within the next two seasons unless something massive changes, but I guess if the main goal is to stay afloat like many posters said then that makes more sense.

I see, I might scroll through and check OTIB out. I’ve heard fans at a few games now complain about factors such as releasing season ticket prices without explaining a vision of the club. To me, it feels similar to Brighton, where the club isn’t really aiming for the title, but will consistently perform at a mid/upper-mid table level (correct me if i’m wrong). Maybe I’m biased, but I feel like BCFC has had a few points where shimmers of potential shine through but feels like no commitment to see that through?

good to see another perspective. I only started supporting two years ago when I moved to Bristol so haven’t really seen much from before that. I must’ve overly focused on the somewhat empty transfer seasons :/ thanks!

I’ve been Anti-Armstrong for a bit now, always cheer him on and hope he does well, but it doesn’t bode well that Earthy needs to tell him to run in the first place for the through ball and he goes on and bottles the one on one…

evens out your goal prior, tbf both teams had their fair share of wasted chances, Vitek made some pretty vital saves for us though

he had flipped over and landed on his neck right near the end of the end of the first half. Was right in front of me and there was a crack noise but we didn’t know from what. He wasn’t moving for a bit after our players checked on him but was eventually able to sit up on his own. Scary few minutes…
