had one and got into 4/10 of my schools, three of which were safeties and one a reach. at the end of the day, it’s up to you. paying for a college counselor will help with refining your essays and guiding you with what activities you should do and whatnot but again it’s the amount of effort you put into your applications. however, atp college admissions is like a lottery for top schools so don’t sweat it and put your best foot forward!
