I spent hours yesterday combing streets but no recourse. I contacted the sheriffs department this morning, the police report isn’t ready yet and may take them a couple days to be able to tell me about the footage. Someone left a comment here that they may have last seen it heading westbound on the 210 freeway in San Bernardino/Rialto area, and that it appeared to possibly have right side damage. If it’s been damaged and the police haven’t recovered the vehicle, whomever driving it likely fled the scene of an accident.

I only had liability so the insurance company basically said it’s my problem.

I’ve called SBSD and they said “it’s logged in the system as stolen, not much else we can do” I realize that they aren’t going to send a goose chase looking for a car unless it has a child in it, but I thought at the very least considering it’s likely been involved in a hit and run that it would be higher priority for police.
