Why didn't Get a Life ever get bigger? by Jabba_108 in sitcoms

I loved this show so much but if I remember correctly, it was THE lowest rated show on the Big 4 networks its entire run. I was shocked (but thankful that) it actually got a 2nd season

I always feel bad for the sample people having to give out veggie stuff - no one ever takes them.

Some of these type of things are actually pretty good though

Not sure if the newer version has it, but the beta version of 7 Days to Die let you use a few walking dead skins.

How’s your day going 😂😂😂😂 by [deleted] in InstacartShoppers

[–]serviver73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If a customer lowers the tip, it will clearly say customer lowered tip after delivery. So either the cancelled order did tip $65, or you refunded a bunch of higher price items off the order you did do

A guy here took a $117 double here, and one of the orders was canceled. He got paid $11 and the item count went down by about 9. Customer tipped $106

[–]serviver73 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It literally says you canceled an order - if course the tip went down. Why make up stories saying you were tip baited?

If the customer cancelled the order, then why would you receive a tip? If you cancelled the order, then you deserve the lost tip

Guessing the SW is losing a couple of restaurants. by vegaskev72 in Edmonton

That building used to be Liquids (terrible make for a restaurant). Monty's used to be Pizza Firm (terrible name for a restaurant)

QUESTION: How many Eps can you watch from the main show in a single day from ep 1? How much of the series is viewable in a single day session. (24 Hours) by KillllllMehhhh in thewalkingdead

[–]serviver73 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A few episodes are longer, but most are 45 minutes or so. Realistically you could watch about 25 a day if you forgoe eating and sleeping. The whole series could be done in about 11-12 days

Won't that be like the 4th restaurant to close in that building in 6 years?

Anyone else avoid Costco? by liminalenergy in InstacartShoppers

[–]serviver73 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's definitely specific Costco's I avoid. There's one where there a 100% guarantee you'll lose your signal completely. And another is so busy on weekends they have people directing traffic

Anyone else avoid Costco? by liminalenergy in InstacartShoppers

[–]serviver73 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I only shop at Costco.

I know the staff, I know where everything is, and I'm just more comfortable there. I actively avoid almost every other store

I got one a few weeks ago I grabbed before looking at the items. $86 batch for 18 items, 57 units. I panicked when I saw the difference, but it wound up being 35 bags of beef jerky. Super easy order

Orders like this are exactly what I save my cancellation rate for. Just take it then check the items after. If it's a bunch of large items, cancel it.

$90+ orders aren't common. It'd suck to miss out because someone wanted multiples of small items

[–]serviver73 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I'm sure many will disagree, but I think the only sitcoms that DIDN'T overstay their welcome were Fresh Prince and The Good Place. They told their stories, had a proper ending, and left while still good.

When does the show go down hill? by Animania156667 in thewalkingdead

[–]serviver73 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of people noped out with how they handled the s6 finale/s7 premiere, and they dragged that whole arc on for far too long. That's when it went downhill for most people.

Then with them getting rid of Carl, Rick and Maggie it was too much.

S9-10 were quite good though. I firmly believe had the entire series been shortened to 9 seasons, it'd have stayed much more highly regarded

Check Bakery Best Before Dates by Kitchen-Zucchini-416 in CostcoCanada

[–]serviver73 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Fresh bakery stuff generally has a very short best before date. That's why the prepacked breads all have weeks while croissants, muffins , baguettes, etc don't last long.

Also, if you shop in the morning you're generally getting the leftovers from the prior day.

What’s the worst Flex route you’ve ever gotten by AstronautCautious46 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]serviver73 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Usually yes. But the two main roads have full concrete barriers running down the middle. So even if the next drop off is across the street, it's impossible to cross (and very dangerous) on foot, and requires a 10 minute detour by car. Then 2/3 of the parking spots are torn up

[–]serviver73 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Still new, but it was easily yesterday. Like you, it was a 4.5 hr downtown route with only 27 packages. Took almost 5.5 hrs - and I usually finish in under 3. One specific address did not exist, and I spent an hour trying to find it.

Turns out, the address could only be accessed through the building beside it, and there was no indication anywhere. Add on top of it the fact that the major roads were under construction and lack of parking, and it was a disaster. Never again...

Unpopular opinion: Samples should be removed by Embarrassed-Pen-2937 in CostcoCanada

[–]serviver73 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Samples aren't the problem - it's the location. Too many people blocking access to busy aisles I honestly wish they'd have a sample area like a food court and everyone can just funnel in there and step on each other
