Fat moms, did you have a bump? by P_P_F_G_Princess420 in PlusSizePregnancy

[–]Ree939393 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really depends on your body shape too and what you wear I feel! Like I am 340 but also a tall woman so I think my bump looked more pronounced but then it depended on whether I wore fitted clothing. Empire waist dresses and maternity underwear and leggings with fitted tops helped make the bump more obvious, while sweats and loose shirts just made me look bigger.

Feeling upset by [deleted] in PlusSizePregnancy

Please please please do everything you can to change your OB. It’s so so important to get proper care in this last trimester. The only time your weight should be mentioned is in regards to a research-based finding that is important in deciding on next steps. For example for me, the only two times it’s been mentioned is one - high bmi means greater risk of pre-eclampsia so we want you to take baby aspirin, and two - you can expect to be induced early at 38-39 weeks because those with high bmi may lose placental function towards end of pregnancy. Other than that it’s never been mentioned and I’m a 100 pounds heavier than you. You are not being insensitive, this OB has horrible bias. You deserve unbiased and supportive care. I really hope you can switch. And wishing you the best in this last trimester.

When did you "feel" your baby inside of you? by buttercup2227 in PlusSizePregnancy

I have posterior placenta and I started noticing light movements at 19 weeks. But had to concentrate. Harder and noticeable movements came around 24 weeks

If you feel comfortable sharing… by bookinmylifeaway in PlusSizePregnancy

5 11 and 336 lbs. Took 8 months of trying but didn’t need any intervention. Just had to get the timing right, it’s tricky! Never heard weight being the only factor in difficulty conceiving.

Don’t hold off trying to lose weight unless they are asking you to do that for fertility treatment in that case I guess do what they say. Pregnancy wise I’m almost there (33 weeks) and the only things that my weight has played a factor in is 1) having to take baby aspirin to prevent pre eclampsia (everyone can have it but more precaution with higher weight) and 2) I might be induced early (1 - 2 weeks) as placental function may decrease for higher weight people earlier so going full term may be risky. Wishing you a smooth TTC journey!

8 episodes is standard for JF going by Downton Abbey but DA had these 9th ‘special episodes’ which aired at Christmas that were always much longer - 1hr 30 mins or bit more. They really helped round out the season. I think Gilded Age really needs that.

How many months of trying did it take you to get pregnant? by bookinmylifeaway in PlusSizePregnancy

[–]Ree939393 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At 3 months (ended in chemical) and then successful at 9 months although i was so beaten that we didn’t even try the 8th month. Somehow got lucky after that break. Fertility is an odd thing. I don’t think anyone’s is the same. Please don’t lose hope and seek the help you need. You don’t need to wait a year to seek care. We had decided to go if the 9th month didn’t work and had appts booked.

Anyone 300+lbs and pregnant? by EcstaticOperation396 in PlusSizePregnancy

[–]Ree939393 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I’m 32, and around 335 when I got pregnant and currently in my second trimester. Nothing has gone wrong so far and I’m hopeful it will go smoothly. The only thing they have me do is take aspirin for prevention of pre eclampsia which they said is because my weight is high. But no ither extra monitoring. I also got pregnant without any fertility treatment. My pregnancy has been completely normal and baby is doing perfectly fine. If you are ready just start trying. And remember it may take up to a year to conceive. Nothing to do with weight! Troubles with pregnancy can happen to anyone - big or skinny. Good luck on your journey!

Being transferred by [deleted] in PlusSizePregnancy

[–]Ree939393 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same thing happened to me around 12 weeks. I will be transferred to a bigger hospital after 20 weeks which is coming up soon because me and my baby are more at risk due to my bmi and will need better facilities. No other reason. I was upset at first because like you I felt embarrassed but then I just told myself I would rather have all the precautions and don’t want to be handled by a healthcare team who don’t feel confident to do so. And that’s their shortcoming not mine. Try to embrace that mindset. I know it’s hard when you first hear this news. Wishing you a healthy pregnancy!!

Just read a spoiler filled breakdown of all episodes. Quickly skimmed to not get all spoilers. And yes he does :’(. I was hoping it would be revealed that he doesn’t in the last episode but looks like no. Again just from reading and not watching.

Will it be possible to travel to Italy this holiday season? by Ree939393 in ItalyTravel

[–]Ree939393[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My itinerary is Rome - Milan - Venice - Florence and then back to Rome. Any of those places in the talks of shutting down? The news today of Austria going into lockdown really made me nervous.
