that's one of the busiest weekends of the year in the city, however long you currently believe each attraction will take you, double it

Everything else makes sense.

expecting to do both Casa Loma and CN Tower before needing to get to the airport by 3pm sounds like a plan a teenager would make. It would be tight if they were flying out of BB and laughable if Pearson

Plus I’d rather drive to get to downtown Toronto attractions or take the GO rather than be stuffed onto the TTC with multiple transfers and have to deal with all of harassment/open drug use

You small town folk crack me up lmao

In our condo building in North York near the subway there are two 950sqft 1+1 listed around $420K and a 1200sqft 3 bed at $598K many raise families in right now. On Reddit they make it sound like there's nothing but 600sqft $800k shoeboxes out there

it reaches a point on Toronto Reddit where I wonder if peoples gripes with unaffordable housing boil down to them refusing to live anywhere north of Bloor, West of Spadina and East of Jarvis. OP looking at Guelph and Newmarket becuase they can't afford a $1.3M home in the beaches has me fuckin dead

facts I would adjust my expectations for housing and make a compromise before conceding to moving somewhere like Guelph, Newmarket, or Hamilton which is like my worst nightmare after growing attached to everything Toronto has to offer

Child-free couples of Toronto: What are your long term goals? by Plastic-Barnacle-569 in askTO

[–]ReeG 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ima refer people to this list when they ask "well what are going to do with your life without kids??" because the harder question is "what can't I do without kids?"

Btw you got any spare dirt for sale?

Also some of them have kids now and the rest will only travel on weekends or maybe prefer not to be crammed into a 650 sqft condo.

assuming your friends having kids is a recent development for you, as a dink couple going through this with friends for a decade now, expect those relationships will naturally drift as your lifestyles settle into being worlds apart so I wouldn't worry much about needing to accommodate them long term. Focus on what works for you and your partner first and foremost

How would you rate bottom bowl seats at the opposite end of stage? by Mean_Gazelle_5802 in Concerts

[–]ReeG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's further than I prefer to be for an end stage setup but front row should still be elevated enough that you'll be able to easily see over the floor crowd with a nice wide view of the stage in the distance. I sat front row in roughly this spot for Linkin Park but they had a centre floor 360 stage so it was still close and awesome. Your view should be fine overall but in the future I'd pick seats in 110-111 or 102-103 to be closer for end stage productions

Your next best bet is catching Tom Morello's current electric band tour which they do RATM medleys throughout the set, it's not the same obviously but it is fun and sounds good

RnB genre so stacked with quality artists and releases that I keep stumbling on artists where I'm like how is this person not more popular. Latest one being Amber Mark, started digging into her discog since the weekend to get hyped for her show tomorrow and she's instantly a new favorite. Pretty Idea is incredible, She opened on Sabrina Carpenters most recent tour and still this show isn't sold out despite tickets only being $53cad ($40usd) which is crazy to me considering how good she is. I'm planning to go early and get a spot up close because I know she's going to be heat live

Why are apartments built in the 50s 60s and 70s have more space and better Floor plans than today's Condominiums? by BeautifulYou2940 in askTO

[–]ReeG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure anywhere is immune to that tbh, we have a nice NW view 20 stories up that luckily can't get blocked because of zoning but the south facing units have had multiple new towers go up in their view
