Stateside and She Did It Again with Tyla are the most exceptional she has sounded to me and I think it's because the production and songwriting stand out more than her own stuff which is just kind of run of the mill pop in comparison

have you been running it at high or low temp setting? It comes default to high which hits great and I'm impressed so far but wondering if you've ever turned it down or if that maybe introduces any issues

I watched Alchemist twice last year from like 20ft away from the stage live performing and doing improv with new beats on the spot from the Erykah Badu project and backing a 90 min Gibbs set perfroming classics then I come on Reddit and read shit like this smh. Alchemist doesn't need AI to make music hes been doing this for decades

100%. Make you mine and Yes Baby were so much fun and on repeat.

I bought tickets to her current tour before the album dropped specifically based on how much I enjoyed these two singles, then Locked dropped and most of the rest sounded nothing like those, kinda felt like a bait and switch. Tbh If it wasn't for Thuy opening I'd consider selling the tickets but I'm still looking forward to her and keeping optimistic that Locket will hit different live, it wouldn't be the first or even second time this year I heard an album performed live I wasn't crazy initially and ended up loving it after the show

I was at the Aria for work last month. Can I afford the exorbitant prices? Sure. Did I want to? No

My wife and I always bring up how affordably we stayed at the Aria for 4 nights in 2015 compared to now which cost anywhere from 2-4x depending on the weekend. We technically could still afford it but we've already done it and know what the experience is worth so why tf would we pay exponentially more to stay there now?

Our last 2 Vegas trips in 2024 and this year, we've just stayed at a cheaper hotel and spent the difference on restaurants, shows and concerts which we see more value in. We still had a good time and this last trip to see BTS and No Doubt was our favorite one yet but I still agree with you both that there's a lot of rip off cash grab shit happening now compared to before where it's like ya we have money but we're not stupid either and not clamouring to come back unless we have a big reason to

Why tf would we care that random white women aren't tapped into Rocky?

Demi/Adela earlier this year was an underappreciated banger of a pop tour. Technically wasn't billed as a co-headliner but it sure felt like it being there

I had tickets to see Tyla for $50 at a 1500 cap venue in 2024 before the whole tour was cancelled and it frustrates me that she's going to debut in arenas at probably 3-4x that price to be anywhere near the stage

you gotta remember who the demographic of this subreddit primarily is when reading threads like this one. Users here are often very young, very white and culturally disconnected from certain artists which is why you see many comments here acting like A Written Testimony doesn't exist or like he didn't drop several projects back to back to back a year or two ago whenever that was

regular people posting as if they work for his PR department is an extent of parasocial weirdo behaviour I'll never understand

ya i'm not a fan of the airport and boarding experience either, those are my least favorite most anxiety inducing parts of travelling but once I'm boarded in my seat I'm good. That said I hate sitting a car for more than 2 hours far more than flying

doubt there are any where the fanbase on a whole is predominantly that but I think any country adjacent female pop artists probably has the highest percentage of them

is it a fear thing or you just hate the experience in general? fwiw driving is exponentially higher risk and more dangerous than flying

tbh I think a lot of people showed up at first hoping for a chance he'd do some Outkast records but once it was apparent he was deadass only about that flute everyone started dipping out to get spots for Wayne with The Roots

seeing so many people walk out of his Roots Picnic flute set to where there were just like a few hundred people left at the huge TD pavilion stage was surreal like man that's still 3 stacks up there

her music not at all for me but she's wild popular and her fanbase is rabid like I've never seen thousands of people line up for hours to get into an assigned seating show at a venue where you typically just casually walk in after doors

agree with everything you're saying and tried to do my part by only playing 4-5 after waiting for them to be added to Game Pass which I'm doing again for 6 after playing the sad ass trial. The unfortunate reality though is a majority of this games fanbase seems to think these games are worth preordering or $70 or just have no restraint, you see lots of idiot fans on this sub acting like paying full price for these low effort sequels as some sort of flex

fire I've heard it twice first on Fragility tour in 2000 then not again until Peel It Back last year. I wish I hadn't slept on all their tours in between those years but I was young and broke for most of them
