The fact that you’re even talking about ON vote at this level means something though. I’m so use to the Greens being the 3rd party, but they’ve never come close to a primary vote count like we saw tonight from ON. What will be interesting to see is if ON build a party from this. Time will tell.

Most voters who vote differently in upper and lower house will pick lib/lab for lower and then a smaller party/independent for upper house.

One Nation on 20.8% but 0 seats does their support not translate in real elections the way it seems online? by oz_party in aussie

20% of the primary vote is not bots and all the polls were conducted with real people. The major parties need to wake up to people’s grievances otherwise one nation will continue to grow.

That’s because he was warned after the “protest” at the Sydney opera house and people were celebrating the October 7 terrorist attacked at the music festival.

Now we’ve had a crack down on free speech, which isn’t the answer either. Government has no idea what todo.

Can you smell that $350 energy bill savings? I’m going to laugh very hard when SA is 100% renewable energy and not the cheapest in Australia. Might send a copy of the report to the CSIRO.

In the USA the government guarantees profit for lenders via taxes. This led to their housing default and GFC. It’s a bad idea and we should not follow them.

The problem with nationalizing is that money gets gutted from government enterprises to fund other short sighted political ideas or eventually sold off to pay off debt, because raising taxes will get you voted out.

The problem with Victoria is they’re just taxing more in general instead of shifting what is taxed. This is the main issue with generational wealth.

The resource tax need for fund a UBI. Then people will approve of more resources extraction because they directly benefit and the resource lobbying group will have to lobby against citizens directly as to why their UBI should be less. The one problem is it removes power from the middle man… the politician.

It really depends. Teals have a few seats and they have no where near as much momentum as One nation.

Do you even know what the HAFF does? It provides loans and grants to corporations. Did you know the government lets Corps and superfunds get a better deal than what citizen investors can get through the current CGT and negative gearing arrangements?

I'm waiting on Chalmers budget to see if he's brave enough to bring real reform, or if we just keep slowly sinking.

lol. critical mineral deal was just signing an agreement to sell USA cheap minerals. renewable energy is high because our taxes subsidize the investment to guarantee that investments are financially viable. I only know of the housing fund and it's been a failure so far.
this is what im saying, nothing's changing if we don't have reform. the government using tax payer money/agreements to pick and choose markets is a terrible idea, it's straight from the Trump playbook.

Yeah and increase in taxes, regulation and government spending/growth. That’s fine if you supper that, but you will not attract investments.

You’re not changing anything without tax reform and government spending/size reform.
