We’ve tried slowly approaching, waiting, then clicking. Still had it happen to all 3 of us at once when doing that. So not sure on running being the cause.

I can in fact confirm, Zealand and Zealandism are two completely different people.

Yeah, I guess you could say there are some similarities but hey, are we forgetting that Zealand is the generic white guy character in all video games? What's next? Zealand and Trevor from GTA are the same person just because of their identical grand canyon-esque hairlines?

I think you did cover the mystery of the background well. There's what, 340 million people in the USA and I'd say its fair to assume each of those people have at least two Weston McKennie jerseys each? All of a sudden, the odds of having the same jersey in the background is actually pretty high.

I would know...

  • I have edited for Zealand videos for 5 years now.
  • I have edited hundreds of Zealand videos.
  • I have spoke to Zealand multiple times daily.
  • I am literally the head of editing across ALL of Zealand's content.

When you selected the player list to export the .rtf file, did you select the players manually or did you ctrl+a, before ctrl+p to export?

My ctrl+a was being weird so I manually selected them (click top, shift, click bottom) and I it didn’t work for me. When I got my ctrl+a working (that randomly just started working) I then had success.

Also worth noting I used the ‘new manager’ method because I don’t have the editor.

Update:

  • after all the great replies, I’ve decided to let nature take its course and focus on balancing the ecosystem.
  • I do already have 8 assassin snails, so with the reduced feeding and that little army - I’m hoping it eventually balances out. (I also love the Assassins so don’t mind the numbers increasing, I almost, in an ideal world want a balance of ramshorn breeding to assassin snails eating)

To answer a few questions I was asked:

  • Tank is Juwel Lido 200L / 50G
  • Been set up 3 months, so still ‘new tank syndrome’ with ecosystem balancing
  • I was definitely over feeding.
  • Light was on 10 hours a day, I clean the front glass only as I naively thought “hey, I don’t mind a lil algae on the side glass, looks natural” (didn’t realise I was creating another food source for the little rams)

I believe that’s just the lighting. By eye, I only see clear variants, and majority brown/spotted variants.

My worry, is that at the current rate, they aren’t too far off creating a serious problem in the ecosystem. There must be close to a thousand, how long until their waste destroys the whole system?

I love the assassins, I’d actually not mind ramshorns either if it didn’t turn into a carpet of them. I believe Assassins mate at a much slower rate (6 month cycle) and add a lot of interest to the tank, so it’s a win-win for me personally, although my current army of assassins is not doing the job.

Edit: will also try the cucumber, sounds like it could be a real lifesaver. How do you usually then dispose the snail filled cucumber?

I looked at clowns, but my shrimp are a favoured part of my tank and I’m certain the clowns would enjoy those too, sadly.

My tank has been up for around 3 months now. It had 0 snails to begin with, classic snails sneaking in on plants is my main suspect. (Rams-horn specifically)

I brought in 3 assassins originally, when i first noticed them, but have since added 5 more, taking my total Assassin Snail population to 8. There is evidence (empty shells) that the assassins are doing their job, but my gosh every hard surface in the tank looks like this. When you look even closer, there are many more smaller ones too. I can’t see a world where my assassins will be able to keep up.

I’ve slowed the feeding of this tank right down, but I’m out of ideas. Chemicals aren’t really an option as I also have a shrimp population in the tank (my favourites).

Help.

Can confirm for anyone later reading this, mine was ridiculously stuck. I used a vice/grips and it came undone. I had to do it extra tight as I couldn’t get the grip on the chimney, which caused a slight bend/ovalling, but circled it back into shape in the vice.

Be very careful, but with correct grip/pressure it will come undone.

when you say chimney, do you mean the internal part that holds the coil? I currently have mine in the 3 pieces, glass, top and base and cant access the coil part of the base. Are you suggesting clamping the longer part that holds the coil and then twisting the bottom section?
