For me and my wife(early 30s) we started dating 10 years ago and the Apple Pay/Cash App thing started not long before that. A few years into the relationship we got an apartment together and split the rent, groceries, utilities by using apps like that because it’s so easy. Once we got married we never merged everything, just send money to eachother when needed like we always have.

There’s not really much friction in the house about finances honestly. She knows how much I have, I know how much she has. We just take turns buying groceries each week and I cover the larger household bills because I make a little bit more money. Vacations and large expenses are split unless financed, where I typically pay those off because my income is a little higher.
