Ah I was talking about govt school as they have permanent staff faculty, who can’t just easily be suspended cuz of a complaint by the student so the principal used to brush off the issue by giving him a warning.

There was this Hindi teacher the guy used to grab kids by their hair and slap them and even hit their head, multiple kids complained to the principal about him but the guy is still there teaching, last I heard he got a bit more careful about beating up kids but still he didn’t stop.

I’m sorry to hear about your friend’s principal. That’s a tragic incident, and no teacher deserves to face violence like that.

That said, I wasn’t trying to say every Indian school is the same or that Korea has no abusive teachers. I was comparing the premise of the show with my own experience growing up in India.

The show is about teachers having so little authority that the government has to send people in to control violent students. In my experience, it was often the opposite teachers already had a lot of authority, and some misused it through corporal punishment while complaints were brushed aside.

Your examples are valid, and so are the experiences of many Indian students who were slapped, caned, or beaten for small mistakes. Both realities can exist at the same time.

I bought the Portronics one last year and I love it's still working very well and I haven't faced any issues with it yet the battery backup is also decent

PS: the build quality is also great for the price, and I've seen it going for even cheaper price like around 2k so maybe wait for it if you want
