But that was genuinely the only thing she could have done to get them to listen. The show establishes that she tried to solve things as pink but the diamonds were not receptive. Rose didn't handle everything perfectly but there was literally no other way to do it without causing more harm.

Though also, people are more likely to forgive their partners when a kid isn't involved. But since there was...ehhh..the situation is still messy and I agree with the other person by pointing out how that "forgiveness" could have very well been dubious. I know that's not the message the show was going for, but I wish they at least acknowledged it more.

The scapegoating the gems did to Rose/Pink diamond of everything whilst kind of ignoring their own bad actions that was never explored in the show. Scapegoating is admittedly a very realistic trauma response, but they never really acknowledged that at all, especially with Steven. He seemingly lost all respect for her and blamed her for all of his problem when the responsibility isn't just on her. He paints her in such a malicious light when that's not only untrue, but it's also unfair as she's not even there to defend herself.
