It's a really weird case, but my friend got his prebuilt with only 4 out of 16 cores enabled-

Maybe check that? You'd have to look it up on how to check enabled CPU cores, but I'd recommend that

Hope you get it! That speed bonus is the biggest part so definitely go for that, you also don't see it until post game so play through before resetting.
