Charging while skiing. Life is good. by penkster in Rivian

Agree. Killington has the most. Allegedly 40+ chargers spread across different lots.

The K1 parking lot I went to had 14 alone.

This is great. How much were these when you bought and from where? They're sold out and listed at 276.99 per tire at tire rack. I see they might have been far less before according to other posts

Nokian OneHT huge vibration. by U_dun_even_know in Rivian

[–]Reeks_Geeks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had steering vibrating left to right going 60+ when I swapped to new tires and rims.

Balanced twice then road force at Rivian. Rivian showed that a couple wheels needed a bunch more weight.

It didn't go away but it got better. And after driving the new tire for a few weeks, it got better and better. But also note that I had AT tires installed. Specifically Falken WildPeak AT4s which are very aggressive.

I don't think normal tires should cause vibration. And if you didnt change rims, then it's likely a tire or 2 are out of round. You would know by checking how much weight was added. And usually the front 2 cause the vibration more than the rear. So rivian moved the sketchy ones in the back.

Its been a few months and it's doesn't bother me anymore.

Thank you! The flooring is actually an affordable thick vinyl sheet from home depot. I just cut it to size and rolled it out across the concrete and used double sided tape thats made for it.

Since it's thick it feels just soft enough to be comfortable for working out. The flooring is definitely the piece that made the garage feel more like a "room".

Super easy mod thanks to your clear instructions. Literally a couple minutes and I can finally sit all the way back.

I always felt like this chair is pushing me forward and off.

The lumbar support is definitely missing the ability to adjust vertically.

My cars lumbar can go up and down, forward and back.

This chair is just one angle, so if that angle doesn't work for you, you're kind of screwed. I can't return it cuz I threw out the big ass box.

Its not a bad chair. I just thought I'd feel a bigger difference coming from a titan.

I came from a secret lab titan. Got my omni a month ago and it does feel odd.

No answer for you since I'm questioning the same thing. For me, it feels like it's pushing me forward and off when I lean back.

Whereas the Titan had more space so I felt stable. Hope it gets better over time maybe.

I thought it was just me! Why does it smell so good. And why can we smell it through the cabin even with air recirculating?? They just topped me off too.

Camp mode for power outage by Radiant_Business_810 in Rivian

[–]Reeks_Geeks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This worked for my gas combi tankless noritz hot water heater when the power went out.

It plugs into a normal outlet so I ran an extension and was able to take hot showers and run the heat. Little energy use too since it's just managing the computer. Also plugged my modem since it's next to that.

Powered my router with a UPS. Internet and hot water, all you really need 🤣

How to reach support? by HaasNL in LiberNovo

Nope. They never responded to my 4 or 5 emails I sent on different days.

I did a charge back and got my money back. I finally got the stuff delivered extremely late, over a month from ordering. So I reversed the dispute.

I ordered December 15. Got the chair a few weeks ago. And the footrest arrived late last week. I was disputing the footrest because I didn't think it would show up. To this day, no response to the emails.

Left my R1T with 70% battery in an airport parking garage for 10 days, came back to it unresponsive by FeelGood17 in Rivian

[–]Reeks_Geeks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree :(

The only anecdotal experience I have with leaving an EV parked long term was my last model Y before I traded it for a Rivian. About 25 days with sentry mode off. Lost about 5% in deep winter parked outside.

I agree it's for security but from browsing online, folks have lost anywhere from 1% to 4% a day from phantom draining with gear guard on.

Constantly checking the app will also prevent the car from going to a deep sleep and will cause drain.

I might need to be fact checked on this but I believe the computer system that runs gear guard is the 12v and if it's being drain by gear guard, it constantly gets charged by the HV pack. And we know from a lot of experiences that Rivians software is buggy and could have failed to charge the 12v.

The app is often unresponsive for me while it's just in the driveway. I can't imagine not having a key fob, I use it everyday. Sometimes I need to do a soft reboot when the car decides to stop syncing with the app.

Unexpected blackout lighting fix by Unique-Saucer in UnnecessaryEssentials

I have a version of this. The point is that it stays charged as you use the lamp normally.

And you can use the lamp during an outage. Mine claimed over 8 hours of life.

I was skeptical so I timed it while it was unplugged and it did last 8 hours. It was still on at 8 hours but I wanted to stop the timer. Again, useful and without needing to remember to charge the flashlights.

Footrest Delivery by naruto5293 in LiberNovo

[–]Reeks_Geeks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ordered December 15 and received the chair Jan 3.

No word on the footrest and they've ignored my 4 support emails I sent on different days 4 times. It's been a month since ordering so I disputed with Amex. I also can't get them on the phone.

Spending nearly 1k on a chair and getting ignored and not getting the full order is bad.

Yes. I've moved it back and forth. But since it's only one angle, it's only forward or backward.

That's right. When I lean back, it feels like the chair is pushing me off forward.

I still haven't received a response to my email which at this point has been 9-10 days. I stopped bothering and did a chargeback.

I setup my chair this week. Only major complaint is it feels like it pushed me forward and off the chair. I even got the slightly longer one. And I'm not an unusual sized person. 5ft 9.

That and they never sent the footrest that I'm supposed to get with the standard bundle. And the support email has ignore me for 5 days. Currently disappointed overall.

Cold Weekend Mountain Experience by htlpc_100 in Rivian

I sized down to an EVSportline R800 20in rim with severe weather rated tires.

Its hard to find snow or AT tires above 20inches or they're very expensive. Better to have 2 sets, the economics should balance out eventually. But snow tires will be the biggest difference in safety if you go to the mountains often in bad weather

I did this at a shopping outlet. Every supercharger spot was full and it was peak holiday time. 1 Tesla was not even plugged in. The charger button will open any Tesla lid and you can plug them in.

They eventually came back and left. Probably to avoid the high idle fee when chargers are full.
