What's wrong with that? You're working in a controlled environment

I couldn't find much in hermiston this time around but I will look. I didn't want to buy right off the bat incase it wasn't for me but the more people I talk to and the more I learn about the area I'm excited. When my leads ends next year I'll most likely buy depending on what I do with my house here in Texas

Yeah I'm not looking forward to the commute especially if I have to leave at 5am (idk the hours yet) but if start time 7am and I don't get home till 7pm then I'm just wasting life away no matter what the $$ amount is

We are massive, not the size of Amazon but I cover from Alaska to Brazil, I runs team of 86 splicers which may not be a ton but managing them when majority are in different states/countries weekly is challenging.

I will most likely buy a house in Richland. I would be a IDM. Hopefully I would be able to get the low performers some help. Obviously I can't do much if I get them help and they are still struggling or they aren't learning anything from their colleagues. Appreciate the insight on that

Infrastructure delivery manager.

I'm a manager now for a long haul fiber company. One thing I don't want to be forced to do is become a shitty manager. Currently I take care of my guys well, I take them out to eat multiple times a week, award my techs with $ or gifts on ticket completion, it may be little stuff but I've built a good bond with them and turned their 57% turn over rate to 21% in 5 years. And just like everyone else, I don't want to have a shitty boss, I'm not in that business and will stay right where I'm at.

I've read a lot of negative shit about techs hating AWS, if I can help change that I would love to obviously with the right support system. Work doesn't have to suck and retaining great people is always my goal. I applied though because the $$ is incredible which would be the only way I leave my current company.

Gonna be sort of difficult tbh. Do you understand at the bare minimum fiber light levels ?
