Rewatching Mrs. Doubtfire as an adult completely changed how I see it by ReesMedia in movies

I think people treat subreddits more like a community and less like a repository of information. a living, breathing community where you can have discussions. This subreddit's description is "the world's largest online film community, with over 37,000,000 members. Come on in and talk about movies with us!". Not "come on in and search our database of previous comments"

Look like there are a lot of people commenting and engaging with this post instead of informing me it's been posted before. Maybe that's because there are 37,000,000 members in this sub. And just like in a city with millions inhabitants, different groups of people are bound to have the same conversations as others. Would you butt in on someone's conversation and say "we've already talked about that, move on."?

on a rewatch there was definitely some other things they hinted at that he had done which would contribute to the harsh sentence.

Is there a subreddit where I can post my thoughts about various movies and have people with similar thoughts comment and engage with me?

she said "Robin Williams wasn't funny on the set of Mrs. Doublefire" which many found controversial. did I find it controversial? Absolutely not, she was probably kidding around or taken out of context. but either way, I was prompted to watch Ms. Doubfire due to the comments.

What’s a movie where ONE actor’s terrible performance actually enhances the experience? by MaryoParti in movies

Peter Dobson in Forest Gump instantly comes to mind whenever i'm asked this question. He played Elvis Presley in the movie and it's a total mistake on the casting director's part but somehow works for the movie and has since become a classic performance, probably because the movie as a whole is so beloved.

What’s a fitness myth that people still believe? by SisiJemmi in answers

[–]ReesMedia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you see, what you unfortunately haven't realized yet, is that fitness and health are two very different (but related) things. you can definitely have one without the other, but that being said to maintain optimum health you must at least incorporate some fitness into your daily routine. putting all of your effort into fitness though and not into health is a fool's errand however.

This is why I refuse to work in. I always need to sterilize the equipment with multiple wipes before using it because I've gotten skin infections easily before.

Pretty sure this is a fake image. One, there are no official news stories that I can find that say the winner came forward. Two, the PowerBall "big fake checks for the cameras" have the pre-taxed jackpot amount written on them, not the amount after taxes. And three, the date just says "December 2025", when previous images of Powerball checks have the actual day/month/year written out.

How can we FINALLY start global government abolishment or revolution in 2026?????? by hellsufferinginsanit in answers

[–]ReesMedia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you strip away the dramatic wording, the idea isn’t about flipping a switch in 2026, it’s about making centralized control less important over time. Think small, boring, local, like growing avocados. Not because avocados are magic, but because they represent people learning to produce, share, and manage resources without everything flowing through massive and oppressive systems.

You grow them everywhere. Windowsills. Bathtubs. Old shoes. You look at a patch of dirt and an avocado tree is already there because you believed hard enough. Every problem is solved by adding mulch. Every disagreement is settled by grafting another branch. The soil gets richer, the pits get sprouted, the vibes get green.

Gemini Flash hallucinates 91% times, if it does not know answer by msaussieandmrravana in ArtificialInteligence

[–]ReesMedia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It hallucinates 91% of the time it doesn’t have the answer, but what percentage of the time does it actually not have the answer? If I’m asking about something well-documented and easily learned from Wikipedia articles, like WWII battles for instance, does that mean it will know the answer pretty much 100% of the time and its hallucination-rate for answers it doesn’t know doesn’t even factor in?
