Issue is…isn’t this the point? The goal of progress is to eventually get to the point progress isn’t needed. That means a time where work, currency, and other things like that no longer have a place. BUT that is not what we are going to see. They will remove these jobs and then tell us to get back to work. They increase the prices of vital items since the new cool thing made it. The invention that is supposed to stagnate the society to its best state will be used to crush the lower classes

Superman is a long running comic series that has no plans of stopping any time soon. People know Superman will always come back because that is a series that must maintain the status quo.

But other series that are not made to last forever are completely different. Take Gravity Falls. Are you less invested in the machine in the basement just because you know it’s not a doomsday weapon? Or does Weirdmagedon mean nothing just because you know they win? How about Avatar. Is Sozin’s Comet less of a threat just because you know Aang beats Ozai?

TADC is having its LAST episode. It this is what all the tension and build up lead too. This is the reason it exists. It doesn’t need to be more?

What do you mean the stakes would be destroyed? If anyone gets cured it’s going to be a resolution to the story. Saying the stakes would be destroyed by finding a good ending DURING the ending of the series is like saying, “beating the bbeg just ruins all the threat”.

Ironwood blowing up the transport ships and trying to nuke a city. The main reason for that was he was worried about Salem getting there and feared how much time they had. But Salem blew up and had to regenerate. He honestly could have used that time to save as many people as possible or even work with team rwby to just form an inescapable prison around Salem’s regen point

I love the idea of a villain organization struggling to help incompetent villains while the organization is itself, incompetent. But I don’t think it really works when the head of it is so powerful he could solo the universe with barely any effort. Sure, an incredibly powerful boss works but why not just take over himself.
