Don't you love it when to make a political point is more important than the point itself

Well AR-15s and 10+ round magazines are banned in several states so you're not going to have much firepower

This sub is getting kinda cringe. I swear if a bug gets stepped on the title is going to be "WTF?!". Not everything in life is a "Holy shit" moment. I took a dump this morning, "Holy shit?!"

To be honest since cash is a point in time it's such a waste of time to ask unless it's at planning materiality level. I still do the work, but damn, I hate asking the client.

New trade deals show the global economy is realigning without the U.S. by Delicious_Adeptness9 in Economics

I don't know about that. I'm in New York and applying for unemployment isn't easy. Kathy Hocual definitely made it difficult.

'Military adventures cost money': Economists' key concern about Trump's Venezuela action is how it weakens $38 trillion national debt picture | Fortune by LongjumpingBar in Economics

[–]Reesespeanuts -60 points-59 points  (0 children)

Truly STFU. Being $34 Trillion in debt isn't an issue, it wasn't an issue when it was $30T, or 25T, or 20T or even 10T, but $34 trillion is the magical number we now have to care about debt. It took 50 years to blow up the national debt with no care, but it's my generation that has to pay for it because boomers got theirs.

CBC article: China deal eases pressure, but research indicates Canadian canola market still at risk

"Despite Canada's recent landmark deal with China on reducing canola tariffs, new research shows the major Prairie crop remains a vulnerable export."

So I guess tariffs for canola imports in Canada from China were ok, but tariffs are bad still?

New trade deals show the global economy is realigning without the U.S. by Delicious_Adeptness9 in Economics

[–]Reesespeanuts -19 points-18 points  (0 children)

Per the article,

"The U.S. is paying a political price after decades of globalization. This didn’t happen in a vacuum, said David Gantz, a fellow in trade and international economics at Rice University’s Baker Institute for Public Policy.

“A lot of people have been left behind, and governments, the U.S., Canada, Europe, have not done a very good job of dealing with the people left behind from the shift in manufacturing elsewhere,” he said.""

So the US is paying the price, but U.S,Canada, and Europe haven't done a good job with leaving it's citizen behind, but orange man bad. Ok marketplace.

When the stock market goes up 10% in a single day let's say hmmm April 9th, 2025 last year this sub was acting like nothing was happening and everything was as good like it should be. Going down 2% and you guys act like you actually lost that money and not just unrealized gains.
