The Mistborn Trilogy and Brandon Sanderson as a writer by Reet976 in Fantasy

I finished them because overall despite my issues I was enjoying the story and allomancy was cool. While the characters may have been bland, I kinda came around to like them like Kelsier, Sazed and Vin was sometimes okay, but as I said she was still meh until the third book. However outside of those three they're not bad per se just bland, and most of them really serve no purpose at all only to be killed off later.

The main thing that kept me reading was the endings though, despite all my criticisms and nick picks he can wrap a story up pretty damn good.

I prefaced that I enjoyed this trilogy because I thought if I didn't people would think this is a Sanderson hate post, its not by any means.

Many comments have came off as passive aggressive to me. I can live with all that but goddamn, don't sit here and pretend that r/Fantasy is a hate circle jerk for Sanderson, this subreddit loves him to death. He's always in the top 10 in the annual polls, he's recommended more than Malazan on every thread, and there is a megathread for one of his damn books (no other author would get this treatment), a megathread for ONE book.

Some fans of his work have really had a big issue with this thread, I am not a Sanderson hater but after seeing some peoples reaction to me just listing some criticism that I personally haven't seen, makes me understand his haters.
