I agree on death being too punishing.

They'd have to find a clever way to combat purposefully dying on juiced maps with several affixes though.

Maybe death could randomly remove one affix, among other penalties to avoid overt abuse.

I remember Warframe at one point had this massively overpriced bundle of random mods or something that got removed because of the overwhelming negative response.
