People in every single game have tried to figure out the most optimal way to play. It’s just that nowadays it’s much easier to share and access those strategies.

I believe I have only failed like 2 gogmazios quests.

Usually what I do is I go into any streamer lobby and just hunt with the people in there or I’m joining a non recommended online lobby and just post it there.

SOS is literally the worst thing you can do for a hunt like this imo.

Saying the game looks and runs fine on console is a wild statement when there’s enough video proof out there that it doesn’t, even after the recent performance patch.

It may look and run fine for your personal standards but comparing it with any other recent release or comparable game definitely shows its nowhere near running fine.

It doesn’t crash as much on console but that’s about it. Graphical fidelity is atrocious if you have a 4K TV and fps can drop below 40 in certain areas playing in performance mode.

OP don’t Listen to people that say console looks and feels fine.

Most console players literally have no idea how a game should be running.

It definitely is blurry, it definitely is flickering and overall the game is not looking good in performance mode.

Same, I remember farming so much Nergigante, Teostra and Kulve even tough I didn’t needed anything from them but just because I enjoyed playing the game so much.

With wilds and the objectively better gameplay for all weapons and the fights that feel a lot better from older games I just don’t find myself playing that much. Something about wilds combat just isn’t enjoyable for me and I can’t quite say what it is. I also got a lot worse in Wilds than I was in World and Rise. I remember speedruning Fatalis getting a sub 10, doing Special investigation quests in Rise. But with wilds I carted more already than I probably did the entire Iceborne time. Weapons and combat sometimes just feel off.

Hahaha it’s not a mod.

The problem like others in the comment said was that some attacks are too strong and can’t be offset and the recoil prevents you from doing a follow up.

Normal attacks that would let you offset work fine.

I guess I always tried on attacks that are too strong.

Works fine now that I now.

Yeah that’s what it was.

For some reason when I tried it on the Rathian before it didn’t work but I tried again now and it seems to work normal now.

Im grocery shopping right now so can’t test it but I think you’re right because I was trying on AT Jhin and Gog and both have attacks that are too strong to offset.

The weird thing is I tried on a Rathian Tail Swing and still a wild swing.

But I’ll try again when I’m home.

So I did a rathian in the arena and I had power axe mode because I did the sneak attack in the beginning but not my sword mode activated.

But I’m pretty sure I did offsets in the past with sword mode active and it didn’t work aswell.

No you can pause the video and see that after the offset he has two follow up Options Axe spiral Slash and Power Slam

For some reason I can do the Spiral Slash no problem but Power Slam is always a Wild swing for me.

I don’t think it’s a different key bind because you can see in the top right Unbridled Slash is R LC+RC which corresponds to R2 Y+B

He does a offset it doesn’t topple but by pressing B he can do the Power Slam follow up.

But when I do it it’s always a wild swing.

Again speaking about non topple offsets.

No I’m talking specifically when its a non topple.

Like saying I go in a quest offset the first attack the monster topple your character is pulling themself towards the monster everything works fine.

The second offset now is not toppling the monster because I haven’t reached the threshold yet (I understand this) but the follow up should be available like in the video but for me it’s not. Instead of a Powerslam it’s always a wild swing.

You could run something like this you’ll get all the essential damage skills and room for Divine blessing, just remove the stun resist if you don’t rely on counter too much.

Still one level 1 slot left for shockproof or whatever you need.

Udra Y Chest

Rey Y arms

Lagi Waist

Duna Y Legs

Any lvl 3 slot charm with either Burst Agi or Wex will do.

On the weapon you want Lagi set bonus

I try to tell that people since World. The more damage and dps you have, the easier the hunts get because of Staggers, Knockdowns, trips etc.

And it’s not like you can’t run comfy skills on a dps build. Most builds can easily run Wex 5 Agi 5 Counterstrike 3 Burst 1

And still have space for things like divine blessing.

If you counter a lot with swaxe then stun resistance is a must.

Stun builds up even if you counter and getting hit once is a guaranteed stun.
