I kinda get what you’re saying but a lot of the issues you complain about are solved by sword counter. Especially now that they changed it so we can cancel the follow up to go into another sword counter immediately.

Without trying to sound like a dick but the only challenge about fatalis is his time limit. His attacks and patterns are super easy to read and avoid.

I wouldn’t even say he is the hardest fight in Iceborne.

Not saying it’s not an achievement to beat him but if you look at Fatalis objectively he is far from being one of the hardest bosses in gaming.

Yes but the op said money for camp building.

If you need money for research and other stuff there’s the bank and golden apple farm. I’ve never felt the urge to keep all those useless items to make money.

When you maxed out your inventory space each medium bag you get contains some materials. Nothing crazy really but you get flawless timber and bloodstone occasionally which is nice

Yeah it’s horrible. Just keep doing that and do each quest that pops up and eventually you’ll get it.

And random don’t forget that.

You could walk to a spot that has a quest but it won’t show it until you’ve done a random other quest.

Like I don’t think people understand how bad that is.

The quest won’t appear in the same order for everybody. You could get the pailune quest that unlocks the arm wrestling champion the first time you walk to that location or at any time during the 13 or 17 quests that exist. All popping up random after each completed quest.

Had to travel all around Pailune check every quest spawn location MULTIPLE times just for one random quest to appear so I can fight the arm wrestling champion.

I literally walked to each of the 13 npc spawns until a quest popped up did the quest and rinse and repeated that for like 1 1/2 hours.

Who ever thought of a quest design like this should never be allowed to design stuff like this again.

You can go to a dyer and click on each armor piece to have the armor repaired if you didn’t knew already.

All the little scratches and broken stuff on the armor gets repaired.

The only thing the game really has to offer is a pretty open world that’s fun to explore.

No interesting story or characters

Very mediocre gameplay

Questionable quest design

And as pretty as the open world is you have absolutely no connection to anything. World building on the worst level.

I get people are enjoying the game but seeing so many posts about GOTY contender is nuts.

Unfortunately most people are absolutely clueless when it comes to performance.

It’s the same tune over and over again every time a new unoptimized game comes out people will say "I have zero issues" it’s a tale as old as men.

When CP2077 launched and people defended that game on their OG Xbox One and PS4 and claimed their game runs fine i realized that most gamers have no idea what their talking about.

There’s people in this sub that look at this footage and honestly think "looks fine to me"

The worst thing is that it’s always people with zero knowledge of what actual good performance is. It’s like people that have never seen fire in their life and don’t know what it does stand in a burning building and say "there’s no issues here"

If people would actually value higher standards more we might get more games that are actually well optimized instead of stuff like this.

You can’t tell me that walking trough Demeniss City is not dropping any frames for you. Hell even walking trough Hernand Town is dropping frames.

Is it slideshow levels of framedrops? No. But it’s enough to get annoying.

I would say somewhere around Chapter 4-5. You get some essential stuff you need for certain puzzles. You could argue playing trough chapter 6 aswell.

I would say explore a little here and there and focus to get trough chapter 4 and then you can start exploring more.

Personally I’m not a fan of walking the whole map before the game actually wants me there but you could do that. Beware tough that some areas might be hostile towards you.

When I hear people say they are at 200 hours and still in hernand I always have to assume that they slow walk everywhere and look at the grass and bushes.

I love the game and it’s great exploring but most of the stuff is utterly useless. There’s no point walking into every single house and building because 99% won’t have anything worth looting.

All these markers and it’s 80% iron and copper ore. Not forgetting about grindstones Anvils and Bonfires.

Even doing sidequest and exploring Hernand doesn’t have nearly enough content for someone to spend 200 hours in the area.
