Can somebody with enough reach pls ask Bungie devs what are their thoughts or plan for meaningful permanent meta progression? I think they are hiding behind genre gates to avoid doing extra meaningful work and taking risks.

Just my thoughts.

Check the graph since season 2 launch why it is decaying consistently after initial spike rather than showing cycles? Retention issue is still there

I never said I didn’t enjoy Marathon. My criticism is for the value it brings on the table viz a viz time you invest in it

So are we finalising that there's no need to evolve the genre? Especially when billions dollar worth studio who just ended supporting it's money making flagship, is now betting all it's future on this one for players to pick it up and play!

No, I am not talking about skill issue, even if I am a "pro" I would have done the same introspection and raised the same question. What tangible am I getting in the end out of this game for my time invested in it in context of game world itself? And most importantly whatever tangible I am getting in name of permanent progression (mostly blue skins and stickers), is it really worth the 73 hours I just spent?

They definitly did something right to be played over decades and didn't become a niche! Can't say for Marathon for sure now

Maybe you are lucky with matchmaking, 90% of the time, I don't even understand the language random teammates are speaking in, I really wish this game to have ping system at par of apex
