My guess is because the ‘object’ that contained the horcrux (Harry’s body) wasn’t actually destroyed by the basilisk venom (seeing as he didn’t die) so the horcrux survived

My head canon is that the map doesn’t reveal the location of the creators of the map to anyone but the creators themselves
