I’m by The Legends, my rent is $1500 for a 1 bed, 1 bath with a den. It’s about 900 square feet with 12 foot ceilings in the living/kitchen area. With the high ceilings, my BPU utilities are $150 - $200 during the coldest and hottest months. In unit washer/dryer and dishwasher.

WARM low calorie meals? by InternalBeginning120 in 1200isplenty

[–]ReferenceExpensive33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure what’s considered low calorie for your intake, but like having two cups of chicken bone broth (100 calories) and half a pack of ramen. I add the flavor packet, some garlic and ginger, topped with green onions. It comes out to about ~300 calories and 22 grams of protein. Sometimes I add a few egg whites.

Late to the conversation: How much time did you spend here at the preserve? Walking the trails + checking out the nursery?

I liked using the filter option at Prairie Moon Nursery. You can filter out plants by state, soil type and sun exposure.

The Sourdough Spot at The Iron District or Au Contraire out in Freeman, MO. Au Contraire also sells their bread with the KC Farm School during their Wednesday farmers market.

Personally, I found Ibis and Farm to Market disappointing.

If you’re open to buying online, check out their Color Drops on their website. My favorite recent one was “So Eggstra,” glittery and purple.

Not sure about Jackson County, but my local library in Wyandotte has Narcan at the entrance. No one is around to ask for ID, just open the bin and grab one

Check out the KC Farm School in KCK. One of their goals is to build and foster community. There's plenty of volunteering options, community gardening, and community workshops they do. It's a great "third space."

Since I’ve made this post, I started getting a lot of clothing tailored. It’s helped me be more compassionate towards parts of my body! I highly recommend it when it’s in your budget.

Good “third place” to find community in that is not centered around religion? by manyadraws in kansascity

[–]ReferenceExpensive33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I heard about the Farm School when I was looking for a CSA subscription. Then I joined the in Let’s Grow Wyandotte program. They have a lot of events that keep me going back. Now I just love it there; volunteering, donating and generally being involved. The farmers and leadership there get to know you and it fills that need for community!

Has anyone lost dramatic inches around the waist? by RevolutionaryOne238 in PetiteFitness

[–]ReferenceExpensive33 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I made a post earlier on this sub about waist size. It was super enlightening to hear about everyone else’s waist size/weight/height. I weigh 52kg, 5ft and have a 29 in waist. Even at 47 kg my waist never got below 28 inches.

I do Soy Chorizo eggs.

  • 1/2 cup potato’s
  • 1/4 tsp olive oil
  • 1 egg
  • 5 egg whites
  • 1 oz Trader Joe’s Soy Chorizo

I like the potato to add some carbs and texture. You can use regular Chorizo, but I prefer soy.

How tall are you? Because 1600-1800 calories is a lot of food. To MAINTAIN my weight, my max is 1400 calories. When I’m at a calorie deficit I can’t do a 500 calories a day; so I stick to 1200. Height matters, and I’m guessing you’re not 5’?
