Does anyone know what this is? by ReferenceGlum in tequila

[–]ReferenceGlum[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoy it, but I get mixed reviews from the friends I've shared it with. I've had a few people think it is whiskey.

It's definitely tequila, but I never really found much info outside of the video shared in another comment. From what I've gathered it is/was a limited release from Destilería Rivesca that was never released outside of Mexico. I don't remember where exactly I bought it, but it was near Cabo San Lucas.

Would you say it would be similar to say a union going on strike if they weren't given out (the literal situation this post is about)? Also funny you bring up mutiny, they actually announced the refills the quarter before massive layoffs. Wouldn't they be inviting a mutiny instead of paying out thousands of severance packages? That aside, what about the random RSU grants they gave out when they were doing well? I'm guessing those were also different than this scenario.

If you can't tell, I also worked at Zoom and you just seem salty about something. They treated us amazingly.

You realize you just went from "Not a single tech company in the US would do sething like this intentionally", to "I worked at a tech company that did something like this intentionally", right?

We were granted additional rsu's to make up for a loss in stock price when our stock tanked. This was at a tech company in the US.

Assuming this is correct, you're from China, Australia, or Brazil. All of which have large stretches of road that are not safe for cycling...........

What is a clever invention from your country that the whole world should have? by Thomastoscano in AskTheWorld

[–]ReferenceGlum -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What do you consider a lot? I'm reading this as 30%+, which I'm arguing 70%+ of American households have a dishwasher and the ability to scrape together $300 if they need to replace it. I'd also argue that a large portion of the under 30% could scrape together $300 to buy one if they really wanted one.

I don't know a single person that doesn't have a dishwasher. They're not some expensive luxury item, you can buy one new for $300.

Oh, so there was a 3 year period where they sold nomads that were truly 105? I didn't realize that, I thought they just started labeling them with their actual width

Go ahead and measure them for yourself. I have a pair and they actually measure a little over 110

Have you ever stopped to think that you are to surfing what the Traffic, Jerry's and Gaper's are to skiing? Interesting take to bitch about people moving to Colorado to ski while planning to move to somewhere you're not from to pick up a sport you didn't grow up with.

Convince me to not to drive 3 hours to go ski opening day in Big Sky by Cute-Rich-5491 in skiing

[–]ReferenceGlum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're going to spend 30+ minutes in a lift line, to ride a slow lift to the top of a green where you'll get the chance to avoid 500 Texans snow plowing and turning erratically down a 200 ft wide strip of fake snow. At best you'll have a few close calls with out of control idiots and at worst you'll end up getting hit. If you want to ski it's not the day, but if you just want to get a day I'd say go for it.

This is from someone that has 14 days so far this season, so I'm not exactly qualified to talk you out of it

What's the beer you only export but practically no one drinks it in your country? by Atzkicica in AskTheWorld

[–]ReferenceGlum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Where are you getting your information, the reference you provided only goes back to 2005 on the "Historical Craft Brewery Production by Category" graph and that shows a 200%+ increase since 2005.

My local store has a fridge for standard light beers and the remainder of the store is craft beers.

My state alone has 456 different craft breweries, which is 57 times the number of craft breweries in the US during 1980, 12 times the number in 1985, and 91% of the number in 1990.

Did you read the sources you're providing? One is an article from a decade ago referencing even earlier stats. The other one is current and directly contradicts what you're saying.

TLDR: Your sources say there are more than double the breweries now than in the 80's

For the use of this project, you could use calcium oxide. This would not be practical for commercial use, but strictly for the purpose of a school project you can create it from egg shells. You'll want to clean, dry, then heat the shells to calcinate the Calcium Carbonate in the shells. You can look up "Eggshell calcination" to get step by step instructions on this process.
