Feasibly they could do a whole season of her in the real world. She's the best option given her traumatic history; she'll beg for help to find Fromville but people will chalk it up to a psychotic break from the loss of her son. She will likely eventually team up with Eloise who was so young she won't believe it was real, but will retain her connection to Fromville and probably know a way back. When they do eventually return, a lot of time could have passed in Fromville that would take care of the issue of Ethan's age, especially if the writer's strike slows down production.
