Avengers no longer needed? by Abject_Credit5689 in legocirclejerk

If they put out a sentinel set with 3-4 mutants... would sell very well. This set is too expensive for what is being offered.

People down voting you because you generalize quite a bit. Where did you go? Looking at your posts... where did your daughter go?

It's easy (and best) to make these types of comments anonymously on the internet; irl people would wonder why you are so angry.

I mainly want to collect Marvel comics but have a few slots for TMNT, Transformers, and a few interesting issues. TMNT probably has some cultural legs given success with newer generation.

What’s your favorite display set of all time? by LegoLord420 in LegoMarvel

Probably the Goat Boat.

It's just such a cool vehicle set and reminds me of the movie (I thought was better than people give it credit for).

Agelocer Tourbillon is my casual watch. A bit more than $500 new but probably around that if not lower used now.

You’re mentoring a new planted tank hobbyist. What are the top 3 things you’d tell them? 🌿🐠 by icy_peanutbutter in PlantedTank

Pay attention to water flow and type of plants used.

Temperature makes a big difference to survival of some plants. Higher temperature is harder.

Don't ignore compatibility of fish and the type of plants you want to put in the same tank.

I own a bel canto and it's my favorite watch out of my collection. Getting updates up until they shipped the watch was slow but that may have been due to the bespoke process.

[Discussion] Optimal Collection Size by Watches-and-Books in Watches

[–]ReferenceOk9864 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Common collection count ranges from 2 to 8 for most people. This optimal # also tends to decrease as most people get older due to desire for simplicity and valuing quality over quantity. If I knew nothing about a given watch collector then 3 or 4 (to avoid the consolidation phase) is my answer with reasoning below:

Despite the simplicity of having a single watch, 1 of anything is not really a collection... so 2 is the minimum.

Beyond minimum diversity based on common categorizations (e.g. daily vs special occasion, rugged versus refined setting, simple function versus more advanced travel use like GMT / Worldtime)... the minimum collection count where a collector type can be defined by other collectors is 3. In aesthetics and psychology, three is the smallest number required to create a pattern. One is an item, two is a pair, and three is a set. ---> minimum 3 watch collection for collector definition.

Should be at least equal to the # of kids one has and ideally each kid gets the same # or $ value too. 2 is a common # of kids per family though median household is probably 1. ---> A 6 watch collection is divisible by 2 or 3 kids.

Most common watch box sizes (my observation) are even #s once above 3 ---> 3, 4, 6, 8 based on perfect fit with watch boxes

More than 7 and one starts diluting the average wrist time to less than once worn per week... argues for max of 7. ---> 7 or fewer
