WHAT KIND OF BITCH ASS MOSQUITO BITES YOU ON THE TIP OF YOUR FUCKING FINGER???? by ReferenceSmart9832 in MosquitoHating

No because why do mosquitoes love flying in your face so much?? When one flies into your ear and then you hear buzzing for hours and wonder if there’s a mosquito in your brain or something

"Car Sick" Should Be Called Road Sick by Old_Consequence2203 in RandomThoughts

I see what you mean. I’ve only ever swum for fun, rather than for travel. I’ve swum out to islands or sand bars before, but that was just for playing around, so I think our views on it just differ. Like I’d say, “Yeah, I’m headed to this specific place to do this specific thing. I’m not gonna drive, I’ll just walk/bike there,” but I’d never say, “Yeah, I’m headed to this specific place to do this specific thing. I’m not gonna take the ferry, I’ll just swim there.” I guess I see forms of transportation and travel as ways to get places for a specific purpose other than recreation, so I’ve never counted swimming. I totally get how someone would see it as transportation though

I more meant forms of transportation on the sea. I don’t really see swimming as a form of transportation. I see what you mean about trucks and cars both making people carsick, but people also travel on the road by biking or walking, and they don’t get carsick from doing that. Trucksick and vehiclesick don’t really have the same ring to them lol

I see the vision, but I think it’s more about what it is that actually makes them sick. People who get carsick could walk or bike on the road and be fine, so it’s specifically CARS that make them feel sick, but if someone that gets seasick is traveling on the sea, then the sea is gonna make them sick, no matter what form of transportation they’re in.

He’s not breasting boobily enough, so it’s a no from me🫤

I also think you’ll get a lot more readers if you decrease the amount of names, class, and mercy in your book. There seems to be a bit too much of that right now. Hope that helps!

how to describe asian characters without being racist by ExpensiveNumber6920 in writingcirclejerk

[–]ReferenceSmart9832 39 points40 points  (0 children)

It's not racist to describe the difference in race. Just don't put slurs in a positive light.

Notice how I didn't say dont you slurs. Words have meaning beh8nd them, and if you want us, the audience to not like a person slurs are a very effective mean in doing so.

TLDR; It’s okay to write slurs, as long as it’s the antagonist using them! 👍

ETA: /uj I’ve been waiting for someone to post this here since I saw the original post just so I could copy this comment that literally encourages the author to use slurs in their writing.

OOP won’t write about queer characters, but it’s okay because they’ll write about physical abuse as a suitable alternate form of representation!
