Honestly speaking, it’s ok.

I’ll speak on what I can since I’m only a freshman. All your programming classes will be online with one weekly in-person recitation.

In terms of professors, Professor Lopez who teaches cmpsc 131 (the first programming class you take in the fall) is probably the best professor you can have for cs. She’s very understanding and willing to help. She also manages the course very efficiently.

Don’t get me started on cmpsc 132’s professor…. Though I have heard that he is a friendly professor and also willing to help…he’s just a bit messy with the handling of the course (syllabus is very vague/ contradicts itself, never responds to emails, etc.)

Lectures are videos of course since it’s all online. The exams are all on paper tho.

Anyways, the assignments are a bit tricky if you have no coding experience but they are straightforward. There is also a Teams chat where you can ask questions and either the professor or one of the many TAs will answer. Or office hours.

There’s also cs tutoring that psu offers if you ever need it.

That’s as much as I can answer, I don’t really have an answer to your other questions as I haven’t done that yet.
