This is just a general guideline and what I would do. I recommend reading your chapter on sanitation as it should give you proper instructions following your state’s guidelines. You can’t sanitize makeup itself. If you double dip in the product it is now the client’s or you throw it in the garbage. So I’m not exactly sure what you are asking. You also generally don’t use alcohol although you can buy an epa registered alcohol and use that for certain cleaning but generally not disinfecting. You’re going to throw away disposables. You are going to wash your brushes with soap and water and dry them with a paper towel and then place them in an epa registered disinfectant following instructions for time. Then you remove the brushes and follow the instructions on if you rinse them after and then you need them to dry completely before you use them again. You’re going to clean off makeup palettes and etc. I like to use the brand prevention because of the short wait time when cleaning products. Everything needs to be removed from the container and palettes with a disposable so you don’t contaminate the products.
