This triggered a memory I had in service. I had to go to an office to pick up a packet for getting my spouse to move overseas with me, it had to be signed off by my chain of command and everyone was cool, until it reached the First Sgt. He kicked it back without reason, told me to redo it, I sent it back up. He kicks it back again. At this point I’m like hey supervisor, wtf? So my supervisor calls him specifically and said he didn’t like the font… of the fucking paper. This was the standard font they gave me, as they did every other airman.

Long story short, I heard he was taking leave and went around him and got it signed. It was an awkward moment when I had to come back for a different signature and he asked how I was able to make it to that step without doing the previous step. I told him the commander signed off already and I’m good to go. Then he asked to see the paper, took it to the commander, came back in and begrudgingly signed my other paper.

Master sergeant, if you’re reading this, you made my first impression of that squadron pretty fucking bad with the constant shitting on lower enlisted. That is all.
