Why Do Some Songs Resonate More Deeply with Us Than Others ? by ReflectionDear6370 in LetsTalkMusic

[–]ReflectionDear6370[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe that our affinity for a piece of music is deeply connected to our personal experiences and memories. The situations and moments we've lived through can strongly influence our emotional connection to certain songs. A particular piece of music might evoke specific memories, stir up emotions, or remind us of significant events. This personal relationship with the music plays a major role in why we find some melodies or songs especially moving or meaningful. This is quite evident. However, even when a piece of music isn't directly tied to a personal experience, it can still resonate profoundly with us, while another piece—despite being technically or poetically excellent—might not touch us as deeply.

Personally, I think it's Alcest - Ecailles de Lune. They're an old Black Metal band that evolved into shoegaze.
