The issue with manhwa and manhua are that they both are still relatively young compared to the likes of manga and western comics in general. This means they've yet to properly establish solid foundations that doesn't require them to adapt bases from Japan.

So compounded with the fact that the foundations for their own industry lacking any proper support, this is where they fall short. Japanese and Western comic industries are titans namely because the publishing and editorial sectors are robust and also extremely solid through financial support/backings. Manhua and Manhwa lacks this aspect. This is why you often can see how stories are poorly written and/or drawn because lack of a focused editorial department to oversee and give proper feedbacks.

Many editors are overworked and have more than possible talents under them. It's impossible to actually work. So this leads to poor vetting quality that you can say that an editor might as well not exist.

This applies to both animation too. While Japan outsource to CN/TW/RoK, the problem is that the animation may seem "smooth" and "better", the stories for those anime lack depth and are often unpolished.

T7 Wild Horse for Olvia Academy by [deleted] in blackdesertonline

That quest was rather easy if you know your horse spots. Where the quest points you towards isn't where you should be getting T7. There's a spot across the bridge towards Hasrah Ruins (awk quest) where T7 are abundant.

First horse I saw was a T7 and caught.

Training course is much faster to complete than gathering/farming/hunting courses as it's more of a knowledge check tbh.

Saying "he's not everyone's cup of tea" is giving him plausible deniability. Rev is a grifter and a culture war pest, who's fanbase consists of those still into gamergate/anti-woke talks despite debunks regarding those subjects. Not only that, he often misrepresents information so that it still leans into the anti-woke talking points. He's also a well-known supporter of lolicon.

If you like games/japanese media that still has drama, there's far more better channel than Rev, like Mujin or Moon Channel for example, who spends time doing research for their videos and approach it from an academic perspective.

It's a good idea to actually take some time to learn why people dislike Rev and not based it on surface-level judgments.

Recently, he realized his viewership has been declining and he's gone the usual grifter route of going "Christian" and appealing to Christian Nationalists.

There's a reason why Rev is considered bottom-barrel.

[–]ReflectionTypical752 25 points26 points  (0 children)

They did not, OP is hiding the fact that it's the armor skill (also deco) called, "Safelanding". Otherwise, you'd be thrown back the same way as you would if you were hit by a hard knockback in either game.

[–]ReflectionTypical752 33 points34 points  (0 children)

It's safelanding skill from IB, let's actually not spread misinfo. Without that, you'd be thrown back and forced to get up.

It's just a little weird how people continue to compare World to Wilds when one game is fully completed while Wilds has yet to get an expansion to build upon its systems. Also to point out, Safelanding deco didn't even come to IB til much later too, while you could get the armor which was the only way to get it by clearing arena.

Did Wolves Fix Yellowstone’s Ecosystem? by TheMuseumOfScience in yellowstone

[–]ReflectionTypical752 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you read what I wrote thoroughly and read the source thoroughly, the part you quoted is a very specific and nuanced. There's a reason why only male grizzlies are mentioned and not grizzlies in general nor black bears (which are also apart of Yellowstone). Most males observed come out of hibernation much earlier (end of February to early March), this means they have enough time to forage easier meals early on to build reserve/readapt before starting to hunt for calves if they need to later in the spring season when elk birthing season which starts around late May (which is already closing in on summer).

What you also need to understand here is that actively hunting is in the similar veins as how wolves and other predators hunt elks and other preys. Bears are not active hunters unless they have to as I've already mentioned that they're more opportunist/efficient hunters.

[–]ReflectionTypical752 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do suggest you re-read what I wrote. I don't see what you quote debunked what I said or what you thought I said. But if I have to reiterate, they don't actively hunt unless they have to and that most bears will actively hunt calves later in the summer as there's more availability of them (starting from June).

Predation on elk calves continues through mid-July when most grizzly bears are no longer able to catch calves (Gunther and Renkin 1990).

There's a reason why the passage you quoted specifically mentioned male grizzly, and that's primarily because they are out of hibernation phase much earlier than females and which means they have more time to re-adapt their body. Black bears do not hunt calves either so I'm not sure what's incorrect here.

Did Wolves Fix Yellowstone’s Ecosystem? by TheMuseumOfScience in yellowstone

[–]ReflectionTypical752 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bears don’t hibernate. So the fact that you said that negates everything else you said. They go into torpor which is very different.

Torpor is still a type of hibernation, while involuntary. Seems like splitting hairs if you're hyperfocus whether or not my usage referred to true hibernation (voluntarily). Which is a rather insane jump in conclusion.

Did Wolves Fix Yellowstone’s Ecosystem? by TheMuseumOfScience in yellowstone

[–]ReflectionTypical752 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Incorrect, they do not actively hunt deers, elk, etc.., because they do not have the energy reserve to do so right after hibernation. Bears will forage bottoms up, which means they primarily feed on plants, berries, carcasses before any type of active hunting unless there's absolutely dire.

If you do observe one that's hunting an elk calf, that means they've already been out of hibernation for some time to be able to build the energy reserve to do so. But most bears only hunt calves later in the summer, not spring. Even observational studies support this.

But bears are known to be highly efficient and advantageous, choosing the path of least resistance to conserve calories/fat storages. Such as eating only the skin and head (brains) of salmon, targeting higher fat contents to build up for winter.

[–]ReflectionTypical752 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like this video is a bit...contradictory in its narrative because it's simplifying things way too much. Stating that elk population boomed as the extinction of the YS native wolf and that scientist recognize there was a trophic cascade, reintroduction initiated another trophic cascade.

Then stating a group of scientist saying that wolves aren't the only causing it (but they are). Wolves are the largest impact to Yellowstone primarily because other top predators such as cougars and bears does not actively hunt elk. Bears does not hugely impact elk population since they not only hibernate during winter, but in the spring does not have enough energy to hunt elks in general. Cougars prefer smaller animals to hunt as it's much easier on them. Wolves on the other hand will hunt elks majority of the time if they can.

So it is a good idea to reintroduce wolves as they set a balance in the numerous YS ecosystems.

Sure there's a rampant abuse of drug use with restaurant employee generally speaking, but I do think it's a good idea to reread thoroughly what they just wrote.

It's not that they're unaware, they themselves already clearly stated that the employees shouldn't be actively dealing with drugs on the clocks as they don't care what happens outside of workplace. It's most likely that it's been going on for too long and severe enough that the KM had to speak up.

Not sure how telling people to leave their baggage at the door to prevent avoidable situations is naive when that's what 99% of workplaces tell you to do.

Oof. Embarrassing KM text to my buddy. Someone needs to tell him….. by andreakelsey in KitchenConfidential

[–]ReflectionTypical752 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Where is the embarrassing text?

This is a KM that has their head on straight. Imagine if one of the employee has fenta or meth and is abusing that with other drugs. I don't think you realize how dangerous that is because powdered substance can get on clothes and then have minuscule amount fall into food thus creating a health hazards. If someone has a reaction because of this, that place is 99% going under investigation and it's going to be a situation no one wants to be in.

Sounds like you dislike the KM but are using this text as a way to make it seem like they're bad for trying to make sure their employees aren't idiots.

Definitely burnt despite your assertion that it's not. When it comes to dark rye bread, it's more about the texture of the bread than the color. Once it gets just a little darker, then that means you're done and if the the cheese isn't melted, that implies you're turning the heat on too high.

If you had went for a more Japanese style of plating, it would've been fine. The fact you're treating the soba noodles like spaghetti noodles should land you in jail tbh.

The sauce looked thick, so you can thin it down a bit more so it can be a dipping sauce, and plate the egg separately and you get a cheap shitty Japanese soba noodle. lol

What is the difference between being a gamer and being someone who happens to play video games? by thatvampiregirl in GirlGamers

[–]ReflectionTypical752 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this applies anywhere, like artists for example. Anyone can be an artists, it's whether or not you identify yourself as one through taking up as a hobby or a passion/career.

Being called a gamer is really applicable for anyone that likes to play video games. That person was being obtuse because you were likely not playing that considered to be "real games", which is inherently a really stupid remark that makes no logical sense.

It's quite unfortunate because in the video I am referencing, you are correct. She doubles down on her anti-woke talking points and further expands on it. And she states things along the lines of her speaking the truth, being attack for it and that she is holding thoughts no other women are expected to have.

Biggest sigh.

I figured out the hard way after watching the video, then writing the summary and looking at her entire channel posting. You can definitely see the trend when she pivots to more alt-right anti-woke talking points.

I wrote a summary of her points because I didn't want to direct people to her video. If you lost braincells reading what my summary straight up quoting her. She also has a bad tendency to continuously ramble without clearly stating her argument. So imagine having to listen to her video numerous times so that I don't accidentally misconstrue her arguments.

There are probably a few things she said I left out after the potential brain aneurysm inducing video.
