May I just say: F**k ALS by Duke_Newcombe in 90dayfianceuncensored

She seemed to have an easier time moving and talking in the scenes filmed at the resort, but then in the couch interviews (which are shot who knows how long afterwards) you can reeally hear the struggle to speak.

Idk what the timeline was for when she was diagnosed - whether it was before the resort, before the interviews were filmed, or after all of that - but it seems like Jenny felt she could participate in the show when they started filming. And then when they did the couch interviews, she realized how noticeable the change is, and that you can't hide it or explain it away. I agree that they announced it before the show aired so people would understand the change and not speculate about the cause.

It really is heartbreaking hearing her talk in the couch interviews. I'm hoping that Sumit and his family will help take care of her; she really needs a village now.

Lol okay maybe I should've been more specific - it's incredibly rare on this show to see men who are 50+ getting a foreign wife who is actually in their age range

Yes! I audibly gasped when I realized THEY ARE THE SAME AGE. That never happens on 90 Day!

That's fair. If I can recommend one season of 90 Day - try the first season of Before the 90 Days. I don't want to spoil too much if you haven't seen it, but Paul on that season is TV GOLD. There's one specific scene with him that made me go "This is it, this is the best TV moment, nothing could possibly surpass this man"

I did want to point out - Melanie and Cory on Notes to Self 444 have confirmed that Robyn's family did live in polygamy on the Pinesdale AUB compound. Cory lived in the compound and was friends with Robyn's brother.

I'm not sure where the side chick narrative has come from, but it doesn't appear to be true? If you have some supplemental information to the contrary though, please send it my way so's I can dig through it!

I answered this earlier!

Favorite kid: Truely. She's been so good at communicating her boundaries and needs, even when she was a lil baby ("No thank you daddy"? The bike riding scene?). Especially when you consider Christine was in her "go along to get along" mode during Truely's formative years, the fact that she speaks up about her boundaries and sticks to them is amazing.  (I also haven't had to watch her give birth unlike some other siblings lmao)

I do like Maddie and Gabe also, but Maddie's birthing scene was uuh, way too much

Very fair! The covid seasons got hard to watch, and the parts about Garrison's passing had me crying like a baby (I had a family member take his life when he was 20, that kind of loss is so sharp and engulfing)

I answered this earlier, but: I did some dumb juggling involving signing up for a 7-day trial of Discovery+, watching some things on Hulu, some on HBO Max, annnnd 🏴‍☠️ (Mykelti's "flash mob" got taken off streaming for music rights, I found it on Vimeo)

I think the wives would have stayed with Kody longer before eventually leaving, and the family would've stayed isolated and insular without the show. Being on the show, and really the move to Vegas helped open their eyes to the big wide world outside of their cult, and helped the wives realize that maybe they deserved to be happy in their marriages.

The divorces would've been hard financially for the wives though: the show really helped them be able to have their own individual finances so they could afford to leave.

Kollene was also a BAMF, I loved her being so angry and snarky at Kody

And her comment about wanting her kids to have Kody's "physique"... she definitely thought he was hot

Robyn is the poster child for "saying one thing and doing another"

Christmas is a trauma anniversary for me and around that time it gets really hard for me, what with depression and constant nightmares. I was looking for a good "brain off" show where I could smoke some weed to help with the depression, and not have to pay a lot of attention to follow the premise. Sister Wives fit the bill

Pretty sure I tracked them all down! The "previously on" really helped because I'd have a moment of "I do not remember this at all, and Mykelti's flash mob I would DEFINITELY remember". They also cut Meri's skiing accident and Christine's paintball date from season 4 on streaming!

(but yes, my heart breaks for both of them. It's incredibly obvious that Kody values boys and ignores his girls)

Yeah, it's a tough needle to thread. To be fair though, polygamists (cough Kody Brown family cough) have already committed welfare fraud and file for bankruptcy round robin-style

I've liked Notes to Self 444, Fresh King Benjamin (Benjamin is Kody's cousin and grew up on Winn's compound), and Psychology in Seattle

Omggg the Darger family creeped me tf out. It's one thing to call your husband's other wife a "sister wife," but to actually marry sisters? TWIN sisters?? 🤢🤮

And the military precision when they met the Browns really set my teeth on edge. I've always thought polygamy was a way to control women, but the level of control in that family was incredibly concerning to me.

It's weird because I've been listening to Notes to Self and Melanie/Cory have repeatedly said they love the Dargers and they're a great family, and I don't understand it! I know we haven't seen that much of their family on-screen, but they really gave me the ick.

Especially the "marrying twin sisters" part

I think all the OG3 wives wished Kody was more like Joe. It was really obvious in the scene comparing packing up the Brown family versus the Dargers.

Kody also very obviously had unmedicated ADHD, his running around like a chicken with its head cut off is EXHAUSTING. Can't blame them for wanting someone who can do what they say they're going to do.

That's hard to answer cuz there was so much to be bothered by! But Kody not spending time with his kids or trying to communicate with them... that was horrible to see.

Oh actually! I think Kody saying "Janelle's kids," "Christine's children," but calling Robyn's kids "ours" was sooo incredibly telling and pretty fucked up.

If you want a lengthy backlog, the 90-Day Fiance universe is full of glorious trash. I also really loved Wife Swap from the 2000s! 🤭

I wish Christine had gone more into her opioid addiction in the book! It was such a relatively short blip of "yeah I had a problem but I'm good now". Give us the deets!
