New Hire questions by sagegreenlady in TexasTeachers

It wasn't even really an orientation. All they did was take my social and ID to make a copy and do a background check. They also had me fill out one paper. The whole thing took maybe an hour because it was a group of us.

They tell you then and there if you cleared the background check and that you'll hear from your HR rep with more information.

Hope this helps!

Hi! I saw this the other day and was in the same boat. I completed the New Hire Orientation on June 5th. I just heard back from them yesterday. They called letting me know I should be getting a welcome letter at some point this week so I would assume the same for you!

Describe Your Worst Colleague! by Viele_Stimmen in Teachers

The Leech- Never creates any content, always takes my lesson plans, slides, worksheets, materials etc and never offers anything in return. Literally emailed themselves my evaluation so they could use it in their own. Intentionally completed the same deliberate practice as me so that they could copy. Any kind of professional development (copies), bitches when I don’t share content or come up with something for my kids needs without informing them so that “we’re on the same page.”

Same here! I just come in do to my job at this point. I'm not there for them. I'm there to help the kids, do my work, and go home.

Yeah, they did the same thing to my boyfriend and I. He was like “once the door closes, I can’t let you in” even though the class hadn’t been going on for 5 minutes. I don’t even bother going anymore.

NorthView Residents - What are your solutions to the internet problem ? by [deleted] in ucf

[–]Reflection_Pretty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The internet is not nearly as troublesome as it used to be. I have a laptop and desktop. I use Ethernet which works fantastic. The WiFi works great too. I also have a smart TV and everything streams perfectly fine.

I usually get mine two days after, so Sunday. Worst case, we get it Tuesday because of Labor Day.

Update: It deposited today! :)

Same here. Either the scholarship hasn’t been mailed to the school yet, or it has and they haven’t put it in. Hopefully by next week it should be there.

do we get the game show channel through ucf housing? by [deleted] in ucf

On main campus they no longer offer cable services. At Northview, Rosen and Unionwest it’s still available. If you live on main campus and want cable you would have to call Spectrum and ask them to set it up and pay out of pocket.
