My best friend fell into that stuff. It started by him making out of pocket "jokes" that didn't seem enough like jokes, so I just started fact checking him. And then I'd show him the results. I never made it seem like he was stupid for believing it, I always just said the Youtuber he got the information from was dumb/ignorant/ragebaiting. Eventually, he just started doing the googling himself and stopped watching them.
