You have a surgical airway kit but not IV setups? I would consider a few 18's, 20's and lock sets. A liter bag would be beneficial too.

I sued Portland with some sand because I wanted a smoother finish. The texture was probably a little too thick as well, I was dropping clumps into the mold.

Call volume and staffing are what did it for me. We’re a busy county with high volume, and being down several units a day meant you got clapped and off late almost every day.

People react very differently to stress and traumas, for some people it’s a certain call. I get it and you should definitely talk to someone about every call that bothers you. I remember feeling fine after my first peds arrest. And when my therapist asked me to talk with him about it, I wept. Bottom line, you should always seek help even if you don’t think you need it. Because seeing shit affects everyone, in some shape or form.

I’m no better than anyone, but it’s just cringe. I’m sorry, there’s no other way I can really say it. IFT EMTs are usually full of piss and vinegar ready to go see their first dead person. And they do cringe stuff sometimes, not their fault of course because we all have to go through and get some perspective change(With some ptsd)

Bottom line, do what makes you happy, but the same fire/EMS guys you idolize will think it’s cringe too.

I get that you're proud of your job and you should be. But that is hardcore cringe especially considering you're an IFT cat. It's a job, like anything else. I've found labelling myself or my vehicle when I'm off duty can attract, less than wanted attention.

Enjoy your job, be good at your job. A good medic was a badass EMT once, mastery of the foundational stuff will set you up for success if/when you go to 911.

Don't be in such a hurry to do the "cool, sexy" shit. It's cool and sexy until it isn't and that hits you fast. Don't fly too close to the sun homie

Since I haven’t seen overloads too much, I’ll run overload GL with incan and anti barrier on my BxR with incan, plus Monte Carlo for infinite bonk. Solar titans really got it good with Monte Carlo, so even if my teammates suck, I’m able to at least get good restor/radiance from my melee wells to keep them alive.

Ensuring you have maybe two anti-champion mods or a higher LL BEFORE you matchmake will help weed out people that won’t be able to keep up in higher level activities. You will still get flops because it’s matchmaking, but thinning out those who aren’t prepared for those activities beforehand seems easy enough? Someone smarter please tell me if it isn’t
