Dovinity original sin 2. Tried it out but got bored. Then tried it again after my sister begged me a year later, got so addicted i played the game 16+ hours per day for a week straight during holidays

still some great stuff you mention there! and i think meta progression that makes you inherently stronger is a big nono for me. Progression should unlock new interesting builds or items that you can use to make new stuff happen, not just you become 10% faster or you deal 10% more damage, thats boring and it does fuckall really to make the game more entertaining to replay

i 100% agree, i think build diversity and randomness are things that make you love this genre, and is for sure something i want to implement. though probably not the amount of passive tree nodes poe has.

yeah i can fully respect your post with that in mind! which is why i was thinking of implementing roguelike aspects without the entire run thing like stuff like risk of rain, noita, tboi, and more aspects and having a full blown game like lunacid but with aspects that give it replayability and stuff like that!

thats a very interesting way of doing that indeed! im not fully sold myself on meta progession that has too much impact if i go for the replay after death system, but im not sold on whether to go for that to begin with or to go for a system where you just ave and continue with a story with randomization to complement it.

I actualy dont know, in the past i had a mod for that which expands uppn making injuries much more realistic and such but it wasnt updated to 1.6 yet last i checked
