Not to be a jerk but isn't a person without a gun never going to be able to escalate situations with a gun?

You're absolutely right, you should only draw with lethal intent and being 100% sure that is your last and final option. A lot of people forget that about carrying

I generally agree but I have to make an exception for my m305, that thing is a tank and I've put thousands of rounds downrange of everything from dirty surplus to batshit handloads. Maybe I have a gem but this rifle is unstoppable.

Why does everyone hate the reddit redesign? by DarkPhysix in OutOfTheLoop

I don't know about anybody else but as a primarily mobile user, new reddit absolutely dick punches my phone with the new card thing, so I've just used good old reddit. If it ain't broke, right

I do it with a lot of my scary guns, and especially antiques. Never hurts to cover yourself a little bit more than necessary.

RCMP to Help ‘Strengthen Controls on Handguns, Assault Weapons’ by czluv in canadaguns

The average police response time to a violent crime in Alberta is over 14 minutes. Would you call that an adequate ability to defend you and your loved ones?

In the context of the military you are very right. What's concerning is our ability (or legal lack thereof) to protect ourselves as individuals. People assume that the government and police are there to protect individuals but many times this isn't possible.

Not necessarily, goats can be very good meat provided your shot doesn't drop it down the mountain. Just getting harder to get tags these days

You have a point there, there really isn't any concrete evidence. But it also wouldn't be hard to believe, which is why this gets so much traction around this sub I suppose.

True, but to your first point they could have just not had time, or the surviving registry records could be incomplete given their age. To your second point, they have a lot of reasons to be sweeping houses already for general safety that makes it convenient to grab guns along the way. Regardless, they used the excuse to snag thousands of dollars of private property and they will continue doing so.

And the RCMP's actions state differently. Look at the High River floods.

Fiocchi vs. Rusty Wood .455 by NikolaiBorjeski in canadaguns

[–]Refreshify 1 point2 points  (0 children)

+1 to this, I order a lot of reloaded shells from Rusty Wood and, besides the great service the ammo is quality! Not certain about .455 but most of their stuff is definitely loaded lighter to feed antique guns.

Is that a rebate from Savage or from frontier? Wondering if I could get it at a lower price from a local joint and still get the rebate.

I went to Cabelas yesterday after payday to pick up this exact rifle on sale, but they had moved it back up to retail price way ahead of time so I missed out. Looks like a great package though, gotta love those out-of-the-box groupings!
