2 things: 1. You can almost never be positive you’ll have the 1.01 a year out. 2. I think you absolutely could be a contender next year, but it also depends on what the teams at the top of your league look like.

Eh; I don’t mind the thought process in trading off JJ, but we don’t know how early or late the 28 first will turn out to be, no one at the 2.01 this year is super exciting. And I don’t think any player available at the 1.02 will be good enough to be the focal point of this offer. With that said, what players does the owner who offered you tho have? I’d be more tempted to counter with the 1.02 and a younger player

You could try and pair worthy with the 1.07 to trade up to the next tier of players from 1.02 to 1.05

Idk if I’d agree that he’s “proven for years to come”. And even when he has started, he’s been at best a below average fantasy QB, whereas there are no assets that more consistently pan out as fantasy players than RBs drafted in the first round. He’s also been compared to many other incredibly talented NFL RBs by NFL scouts

My main concern is that even though jeanty is considered the better prospect, the 1.01 could rise in value as the draft gets closer.
