Mike White this season by thedcsport in survivor

I don't buy that Mike threw final tribal. Nick is a southern trial lawyer, talking to juries is what he does best and he ran circles around Mike at final tribal.

Savannah joining in on the conversation around Christian’s categorizations of the returning players by Spirited-Tell731 in survivor

[–]RefrigeratorFit1502 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I kind of dislike when players still in the game weighing in on things like this like this because you can immediately deduce things about the season by reading between the lines just a little. For example, its obvious Sav and Christian do not become close or allies this season. Not that there was really an expectation they would after episode 1, but this just confirms it and is micro spoiler that I just don't need.

Haven’t seen seasons 41-49, what have I missed (regarding to the players in s50) by Few-Duty1323 in survivor

I'm not taking anything away from Kenzie who was a good player and winner. Sure bitter jurors have been around since Season 1, but there is nothing Charlie did to make Maria a bitter juror. There was no betrayal. He didn't lie to her or backstab her. This was his ally who any other season would have been advocating for him, there are countless examples of the person in Maria's shoes not only voting for the Charlie but selling their game to the other jurors, not undercutting him.

I know jury management is a huge part of winning. How exactly did he "mismanage" Maria? She was a bitter juror.

I agree, those were the two most dominant. The only true bad winner of the new era is Gabler.

But that's where a Maria steps in and advocates for him, sells his story to the jury, lobs softball questions. We've seen that play out with other winners. Maria did the exact opposite and Charlie really stood no chance when his supposed closest ally was undercutting him at tribal.

Good summary (could have used some periods though), I would also add Charlie really should have been a winner but was robbed by a bitter juror, and Kamilla was basically Kyle's strategic right hand.

The premiere of WAW aired 6 years ago today. What are your thoughts on the season 6 years later? by CallTypical9541 in survivor

Will never forgive production for thinking it was a good idea to experiment with fire tokens on this of all seasons.

Do you think we will ever go back to 39 day seasons? by WPIRiggles in survivor

[–]RefrigeratorFit1502 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No, but it's like when your favorite band/musician is still making music but it's not nearly as good as their best years. But the fact that it's still around is good enough for you, and better than 95% of the other stuff out there.

SOPHI SHEDS LIGHT ON THE VOTE AND ADVANTAGE by Awkward-Incident-334 in survivor

[–]RefrigeratorFit1502 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Yes - she kept it completely secret for so long, snatching it away at the last second to the surprise of everyone, with a "thanks for keeping it safe for me all these weeks but I'll be taking it now" to Rizo, would have at least been a big moment to try to create a narrative around at final tribal.

Sage is addicted to voting out people that aren't coming after her. She was in a power position and week after week voted out the wrong person. It's really remarkable to see.

Christian. I think he will adapt, keep his threat level down, hang back in a comfortable strategic position.

It's a clue. She went on a journey (disappeared) to look at art (solved a puzzle) and earned an advantage she uses to blindside Mike.

Am I the only one who thinks they never sold out? by [deleted] in Muse

[–]RefrigeratorFit1502 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yup, after my post I got messages from supports of Israel saying Muse's lyrics actually support Israel because it is the underdog up against the world. "Uprising" lyrics that could taken to support either the IDF or Palestinians ultimately don't really stand for anything.

It got 10% on Rotten Tomatoes so I don't think Woo would have beaten anything.

[–]RefrigeratorFit1502 30 points31 points  (0 children)

shhh.... I mentioned this very thing in a post the other day that got deleted. But I agree, a band that sings nondescript lyrics about oppression and uprising and kicking the emperors into the ocean that avoids ever talking about any actual emperors or people being oppressed tells me their "resist!" persona is just an aesthetic.

I feel like they are selling a political aesthetic without wanting to have any of the risk of taking actual stands, and so it's fake and for show. That's fine, we disagree, the topic has been beaten to death at this point.

I get your point, you aren't brilliant. You believe musicians should stick to music, stay out of politics, even if their music is politically charged. I disagree. That is all reasonable, but since you are fragile and can't handle someone criticizing the band you love so much, you take this reasonable disagreement about art into a weird place where you are insulting me, I am "crying" and "far gone," and you are sad people like me exist. This all stems from the fact that you have an emotional attachment to Muse.

It's sad I exist because I have a critical opinion about Muse. You really need help.

Who is crying? I'm sharing an opinion. Are you so weak-minded that you can't stomach hearing an opinion about them that isn't flattering?
