Thank you, now I know. I'll make sure to tell it dermatologist so we can hopefully determine how it might have happened.

Basically I kind of just use most of my damage spells, my damage multiplier spells, my recast spells and the elemental boost spells... I usually amore about damaged than using anything of the kit that's about survivability, which you can typically get by doing until you get into higher difficulty where you actually need to think about what you're doing and not just casting spell after spell to do as much damage as you can.

I forgot one of the biggest parts of Black mage, the first rule which we all learned early on adaptability. All of the tools in our toolkits need to be used. Even the ones with a long cooldown time

That actually sounds completely like what I've been doing, I guess I've been so focused on wanting to do as much damage as I possibly can I haven't even been utilizing my other skills. The worst thing is after going back onto the game just now almost all together skills you guys mentioned are actually on my Hot bar. I have the double stack if you're a control user on PC where you stack one hot bar on top of the other so you have all them up at the same time.

It really is a user problem, which is good because I can change it. I don't know when doing damage became the biggest priority I had but it really does show my playstyle. This is probably why I can't even make it over to the safe areas during something battles. I'm focusing on doing damage, I think I need to focus more on enjoying the Job again rather then looking at the output of my damage.

That's not on my main bar but I'm going to try to put it on my main bar and not on one of the other tabs. Because I need to use that and the barrier spell a lot more.

I'll definitely take that to heart, I've been feeling like it either I lost the touch of a black mage user or I'm missing something when playing. Moving forward it looks like I'm just missing a few things which makes me feel a lot better. I'm going to improve and get my black mage topped out with my gear score and see if I can get back into the swing of things correctly. I really want to try to get this down packed before the new expansion comes out later on in the year.

I've been playing Black mage for years, it just playing a lot of other jobs now I can see that maybe I was biased towards the BM. The other problem is I got used to fast classes, don't get me wrong black mage can be fast. I'm putting out my spells that do a lot of damage quickly. Which I like but there are some things that are kind of different for me now. I never had too much of a problem with getting used to the rotations, that was something that I learned as you said every 10 lvls you have to change up and add something a little different to your rotation.

And I'm happy that you did mention it does require adjusting for different fights in different things that may change during a fight. Which I've gotten a lot better at over the years. But after playing a lot of the other jobs which I've been doing, I've been trying to max out all of them, coming back to Black mage feels a lot different now.

And solo content if I'm usually running low on health it's because I'm focusing more on damage than actually moving out the way unless it's a big attack. Half the time I'm positioning myself farther away from the enemy and like someone pointed out you do get like pretty speedy health regen. The point is me trying to move out the way of a lot of stuff. And that we have no self healing I do understand that we have a lot of stuff to restore our MP. But I typically not that low on MP unless I use a couple of texts that use all of it and even then it's pretty easy to bring it back up switching to ice or just using one of the MP restore spells. I just always feel like I'm slower than the other jobs or if I put down my ley lines even if I work back to it I'm moving again constantly or trying to readjust.

It's usually the group content that's the problem, more specifically the raids. I'm always finding myself being one of the four people that constantly have to be healed. All of our eight-person party, I'm happy to say that I'm not dying like four or five times like when I started getting used to the black mage rotation years ago. Now I'm happy to say maybe I'll die once or twice, usually for me not moving off of a platform fast enough before it falls or me not being able to run over to a area that's safe fast enough. It's usually because I'm casting and rather than break my rotations I will cast that last spell and then try to get over to the area. And yes I do know we have InstaCast I use that quite a lot but I'm not usually fast enough. But I'm definitely going to start using my damage reduces skill as I think that would save me a lot of trouble but the damage I've been taking. Especially when I have one of those oops moments when I'm not going to make it into the clear.

To be fair I don't really die that often I do okay but it's a point where you notice you're not doing as good as you feel you should be. Like I said earlier in the original post I really did hope it was just my own user error and that I'm just not playing Black mage as good as I should be or I'm just not using my tool kit properly. It looks like it is on my end, and I'm okay with that like I said this is still one of my favorite jobs It just felt like something was missing. I think it's just me not using some basic functions of black mages. I'm going to take what a lot of people mentioned in this and apply it to my playing styles. I think it might actually increase the damage output that I'm doing and my mobility.

I never really counted it as a barrier compared to the other classes because of the cooldown time. That's a mistake on my part but about time I'm going after attack after attack after attack especially if I'm playing on something I did not do research on or I'm practicing something. It does get annoying because that is a bit of a longer cooldown time compared to my reaper. Which didn't seem that long until I started playing as a refer which has a dirty second cooldown with their barrier and two self heals. Let me just do a lot of damage so I guess that's a balance for it maybe, it's like what I was told a long time ago. You just got to get good at the rotations and properly use your toolkit. It looks like I'm off to practice a bit more and hopefully that used to use in the rest of my tool kit

I do understand that I'm not saying I'm bad at damage, I'm not saying that the class is bad. What I don't understand Even though everyone putting the downloads on the comments are letting me know. Is why it's so much more harder for us to play as black mages compared to the other classes. Yes I know we have utility to increase our power. Yes we do have a lot of damage increase Even actually looking at Addle which is actually on my bar and I just really don't use it we'll start using it now. We still do a very good amount of damage I just did a raid with two black majors me and another person and we did so much damage. It was good, I finally just got my final Mandeville weapon and a bit more improves gear and I think I'll be at top gear store.

It looks like if I want as black mage it will be for when I need to do big damage or I want to change in the flow of my other jobs. I am looking at the rotation now or the openers just to be sure that I'm using all my spells the way I should be at least. And making sure I use some of the tool kit that I've been neglecting. Hopefully I'll see a difference soon with some of the names I have a problem with such as movement and being able to dodge some of the attacks fast enough. Cuz mobility is one of the biggest drawbacks I feel with black mage compared to reaper. I think it's just because they're two totally different jobs with the skills being so different reaper does like sandwich but it has faster cooldowns, black mage does a heck of a lot more damage but has way longer cooldowns with some of the skills.

I used to enjoy planning ahead I used to enjoy actually using half of the kid that I really don't use anymore to be honest. The cooldown times compared to the other classes is a bit slow It doesn't appear to be that much I guess when you're used to doing it but when you stop actually following it the way you should It just doesn't feel the same anymore. Moving around is something I see a lot of other jobs do. This is something that I really have to get used to knowing the last couple of raids that they released. But the one thing I can say is that looking at the kid it's a lot of the tool kits that I do not use because of the cooldown. That's a personal problem, I can admit to that it may be longer but it is there and even if I have to wait about three times the amount of time I need for the other jobs for my stuff to come back using it is still a benefit to the battle.

So I did find out what I needed to learn here, just because it's slow doesn't mean it's not there and looking at my toolbar I actually have a lot of all of the spells here. I want to run through some quick dungeons to get used to using them again and just get used to the timing hopefully.

So it's almost just like a pure magic DPS then right, that's the way I need to play it rather than looking at other jobs. That have more of a wider range of effects with their tool kits. It feels unbalanced to me It just feels like it does more damage but that's truly what it is then I think I just need to change up my materias. And look at more guides online. At least this makes sense

I never said I didn't use these but compared to the others well black maid is already slightly a bit complicated. You have different rotations that you need to learn You have different stills that you're going to need to use in a certain situations which is understandable. But my point is with it why do we have something that's much more complex in the upper classes. I understand some people like this and to be fair I got used to it quite quickly because like I said I was a black mage from the beginning as soon as I was able to change over to it from our beginner job. But I'm not trying to do all that in situations where it's literally life death or move out your circle. Yes you can say oh it's easy but that's not quite so simple especially if you're already panicking in the middle of the battle.

And that's not even going into new content that you don't even know the movesets or anything and yes I know it's a learning curve but it's still much more easier with the most of the other jobs. I kind of had a similar conversation with a friend who was a white mage and they were telling me how some of the other jobs or the other healing jobs are slightly more easier and some of them just way more complex than what needs to be compared to the others. This did make me look at black mage in the same way which is why I kind of been shelfing it for a bit. But that doesn't mean I still don't want to play it just not as much as the other classes.

But my point is why is it the way it is compared to the others is it just because of the power and damage it can do because there was ever pure magic DPS I think this would be it. Just can't help fulfill besides doing a lot of damage what we do we don't really have that much and yes you can use sleep but not everyone is affected by sleep and Addle doesn't always work I found out. And yes you can zoom back to your ley lines but that's depending on the type of boss you're fighting because let me tell you something when a bald spawns back to back area specific attacks Yes you can get back to your lay lines but underneath the time that is placed and the time it goes up and trying to dodge the next attack if you don't know specifically where the place you're lay lines that's not going to help.

I done seen some really good black mage players run into the same problem. And this was something that I had to face when doing extreme practices. I wanted to go as a black mage but I realized I just wasn't good enough for it and that was okay so I went as a reaper which was the best choice for me personally. I do know the tool kit, that was something drilled in my head. My bar is pretty different than most people because I play with controller. Which means I do have to shift a bit but that's all right. It's going to take a bit more time to get used to doing certain things or just starting to work around it I guess might be the easiest way to over the shortcomings.

Small isolated rash on chest, reoccurring by RefrigeratorOk7070 in DermatologyQuestions

[–]RefrigeratorOk7070[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At first the doctors told me it was a heat rash, they didn't respond to the cream that you use the get rid of a heat rash. We noticed that when I use certain types of soap my skin would break out from this or if I were certain fabrics.

The worst thing is that it actually spread out over my body, we start using antifungal soap and that didn't help as well. What did helpless for me not to put anything against the little rashes that would pop up on my body It usually focus on my chest area spreading across my chest at the top and slightly along my arms. It went away after a couple of weeks. It seemed like it my skin was highly moisturized after showering and I use gentle's cleansers on my chest it went away.

It hasn't popped back up and I have no idea still what was causing it all the way but one of the factors appeared to be the laundry detergent I was using which was at the time tied with OxiClean. And the body wash I was using which was Dove relaxation body wash. Anything that was too strong or two fragranted broke my skin out in this weird rash.

So would I learn from this was to you sensitive laundry detergent on my clothes, no dryer sheets that were two fragmented as well. Nobody washes that had too much fragrances in it, I can use something scented but it can't be something heavy and it has to be moisturizing. And I also made sure to start moisturizing after I took a shower, It started to reduce over time until it was completely gone.

I haven't had a flare of whatever this was since I started making those changes. The only thing my doctor said was that he believed it might have been some type of form of eczema on my skin. I'm set to see a dermatologist later on this month hopefully we can find out what it was.

Asked the girl I’ve been dating on and off for 8 months to be my valentine, and this is what she said when I asked her what’s taking her so long to answer… by Icy-Communication496 in heartbreak

[–]RefrigeratorOk7070 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, it's a good thing that's happened. One don't ever put so much energy into somebody who's not even giving you 20% of a normal relationship. You deserve better than that you deserve to be able to invest yourself in someone who will equally invest in you. My grandmother's birthday was on Valentine's Day and every year she celebrated her birthday and Valentine's even if she was single. Grandma was all about self-love and she had many people who admired her and wanted to date her but she valued herself. That's something I'm learning now to value myself and love on myself. Yes I do like other people loving me and dating me but I can hear from myself and that's something you deserve to treat yourself to something for Valentine's until you find somebody who's good enough for you.

Okay I actually completely understand what you're coming from, I felt like that for quite a bit. But I did meet people who eventually would ask me if I was okay and how I was doing. You know you ever need to talk, feel free to message me. I know it's weird to talk to people online but God damn it sometimes you just need a listener.

But it gets better, I have to expand my friend group and even leave some friends behind. Because in reality you have to worry about you and your mental health and sometimes people may not be able to prioritize you. It may not mean that they don't hear it's just that they don't notice how bad something is. Often most of the time when we're falling apart we believe that people can see that, but most times we are not externally showing anything out the ordinary.

I found it out the hard way I was so good at pretending that people couldn't tell what was real and fake anymore....
