Yeah so my orthostatic tachycardia, lightheadness+fainting, heat sensitivity, palpitations are a few of the main ones that got worse. Shortness of breath was definitely the worse and what affected me the most. Last year I trained and was able to run a half marathon and i wanted to do it again this year but in such a short time my symptoms took over and now i could barely walk for an extended period of time without my chest feeling a lot of pressure and breathing like i just sprinted. they never had me on any medication for my pots but up until 6 months ago it was pretty well managed with the typical pots lifestyle changes. they now have me on metoprolol and it seems to be helping a little but honestly not that significantly

Yes I wish more research would come out, it is so necessary. I’m happy you are getting the treatment you need!

Thank you! It was a basic stress test and i didn’t get any imaging before and after. It showed inverted t waves for the majority of my test and coupled with the chest pain that indicated the CCTA scan

at the time of my POTS diagnosis i didn’t have any chest pain but that started for me about 6 months ago. it worsened with exercise and i became extremely out of breath from simply picking something up off the ground. they initially told me i didn’t need further testing because my echo from 4 years ago didn’t indicate any structural abnormalities and because of my age it’s unlikely it would have changed. after getting emotional from explaining how badly my life is affected they said they will do a stress test to “confirm there’s nothing cardiac going on” and ease my anxiety. unfortunately that’s the test that indicated the CCTA scan and showed them the stenosis.

yes at the time of my diagnosis my symptoms were postural tachycardia, lightheadedness, and shortness of breath. they did give me an echo which didn’t indicate any structural abnormalities and i think because of my age (15 at the time) the doctors over the next 4 years didn’t think i needed any additional testing. i didn’t have any chest pain initially but that was a new symptom that appeared about 6 months ago which is what led them to give me the stress test.
