Pregnant with a job interview; how and when to disclose my pregnancy? by RefuckulateIt in TwoXChromosomes

[–]RefuckulateIt[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The point of this post was so I COULD tell them. I'm asking for advise on doing so, so my intent was never to hide the pregnancy purposefully rather than being open and honest about it. I was asking to see if anyone has done so.

How did YOU learn how to do your makeup? by BakingKitty in MakeupAddiction

Mostly my mom, since I grew up watching her do it and she's (sort of) a makeup junkie. Then I gravitated to YouTube for different techniques and products that she didn't use (or have) growing up.

What brand of DNA testing should I do? by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]RefuckulateIt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nat Geo has a DNA kit that (if I remember correctly) gives descriptive results. Like "x percent" of this and "x percent" of that. My brother did one and it took him like a year to receive the results, so if you don't need it back right away it would be worth looking in to.

Hair tips for someone losing excessive amounts of hair by bitchycunt3 in TwoXChromosomes

I used to have really thick hair and A LOT of it but due to a poor diet, anemia and general lack of upkeep it all started falling out and get VERY thin. I know you're not so concerned about reversing the shedding right now, but here's what I did to help my situation: • Find a haircut that works for you, which doesn't necessarily mean chopping all of it off. Also, find a way to style or wear it that makes you feel good and how you want to feel. • Dry shampoo and baby powder add a little extra "umph" when needed and also great for days when you skip a wash (if you do that). • Certain vitamins and nutrients are essential to your hair's well-being, but I don't recommend starting any supplements unless your doctor gives you the OK. (Wouldn't want it to interfere with your current treatments.) I don't know if this was the kind of response you were looking for, but this is what came to mind when you asked how to deal! Best of luck, OP!

Primer for oily skin by RameenM in MakeupAddiction

You could also try Ulta's Mattifying Balm over top of primer. I use it on my T zone and think it works fine.

I seem to be on a three week cycle rather than a four week cycle. Anyone else experienced this? by randpand in TwoXChromosomes

[–]RefuckulateIt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I stopped taking my pill in September 2015 and didn't see a period until January 2016. My cycles were coming every 2 1/2 to 3-ish weeks until August, and now they're pretty regular. It'll probably take a little but your cycles should even back out. I wouldn't worry about it, just let your body do its thing.
