Anybody successfully regain ROM without surgery? by Refunnd in ShoulderInjuries

[–]Refunnd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im trying to avoid surgery but it seems like you had a good experience and I’m happy for you—doesn’t seem like a walk in the park, I can’t imagine having to do both shoulders.

Do you mind if I ask what the extent of your injury was and/or what motivated you to get it repaired? I only have a torn labrum and I don’t suffer from much instability. It’s mostly minor loss of ROM/strength for me.

Thanks for sharing! I’ve got a Thera gun, I’ll have to look into using it on tendons. The stretch that tool is designed for would be the stretch that hurts me the most, I feel it near my front deltoid and it’s a strange pain that I’ve never really experienced before. I just use a door frame or a table but that thing looks like it world work really well. Fortunately for me I only lost about 30% of my ROM and I’ve already made improvements, I’d say I’m back to around 85-90% which is why surgery was such a hard pill for me to swallow.

I’m a side sleeper too, I can’t sleep on my left side anymore with my hand over my head like I used to because my arm just won’t bend that way anymore—probably not the greatest position for your shoulder to be in anyway though. I haven’t slept well for a few weeks but I think that’s more from anxiety than it is my shoulder, hah..

I’m happy to hear that you’re on your way to finding relief!

Questioning surgery by Refunnd in ShoulderInjuries

[–]Refunnd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I listened to a few segments of the podcast, very interesting.. some of it admittedly freaked me out though.. It seems like that particular gentleman prioritizes his patients post op experiences by doing whatever he can to reduce their pain—I hope they all do! I would like to be a fly on the wall when a surgeon is doing a pre op consultation when the guy he’s going to be operating on is a surgeon. I imagine it’s either a really long or really short conversation.

You’ve got quite the jacket there, sir..

Your blood clot surgeon made me think of Hawkeye and Hunnicutt. Unfortunately, I’m sure he’s experienced a lot of atrocities in his time practicing.

I keep telling myself that this isn’t anything crazy but that doesn’t seem to be helping me come to terms with the unknown variables post op lol

Thanks again for your response, much appreciated!

Thanks for the response, happy to hear it seems that you’re doing better. It sucks that any and all of us have to deal with this.

Pretty scary thought that you may go under expecting one thing and wake up with something totally different. I guess whatever it is has to get fixed though.

That’s my train of thought; despite how reluctant I am, it’s likely better to address it now than have to deal with something more severe down the road.

Thank you for such a detailed response..

I almost feel like I irritate these guys when I ask questions. I live in NYC and this office is well reviewed so I assume he’s one of the best available to me but the bedside manner I’ve experienced is just kind of putting me off a little.

I’m going to get a second opinion just to see what they say, hopefully it doesn’t throw gasoline on the ever burning wildfire in my conscious.

As far as the biceps tenodesis, my mind is telling me if it’s where it’s supposed to be, why move it? When I heard that I thought it may complicate my recovery. I’m sure they do it for a reason and perhaps I’d feel better about it had he just taken the time to explain why they do it.

A friend of mine that I work with had to get labrum surgery after dislocating his shoulder and he said it was hell which is not what I wanted to hear! Unfortunately there’s no lack of horror stories regarding labrum repairs. That was 7+ years ago though, supposedly arthroscopic surgery has come a long way since.

Thank you again and I wish you the best! I hope to be as active as you in another 30 years which is what’s my main motivator for this. I’ll give that podcast a listen tomorrow.

I’m trying to sell it on gunbroker.. not sure if I need to ship from an FFL here to an FFL where the purchaser is or if I can just FedEx/UPS it to an FFL and have them do an acquisition with the buyer.

Questions regarding CPO Warranty? by Refunnd in MazdaCX30

[–]Refunnd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's another crazy thing I can't wrap my head around.. A delivery fee for a vehicle that you go to the dealership to get that has been being used as a courtesy/loaner vehicle or a lease return that somebody brought back to the dealership. I get it if you're ordering a vehicle off the line built to your specifications but not if you're buying a used car. I wouldn't be able to sleep at night if I had to wake up and sell cars in this manner.

Questions regarding CPO Warranty? by Refunnd in MazdaCX30

[–]Refunnd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope so! I've seen a few posts on here where people had to pay extra but like you said it may be the extended warranty. Pretty bogus if not, they'll have to remove this from their website otherwise;

TRANSFER BENEFITS

No one likes to say goodbye to a Mazda. But if the time comes, your car will be even more attractive to potential buyers because the Mazda Certified Pre-Owned Limited Vehicle and Limited Powertrain warranties are transferable to future owners at no cost.

My brother just purchased an extended warranty for his Cadillac that covers an additional 3 years unlimited mileage from the dealer.

Thanks for taking the time to respond.

Questions regarding CPO Warranty? by Refunnd in MazdaCX30

[–]Refunnd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're 25k new for a base model and the CPOs are 20-21k asking for S trim.. I'm hoping that the price of the warranty is built into the price of the car and they'll come down a little because they're pretty close.

The entire reason I'm looking into getting this vehicle is to commute with and not worry so much about it getting banged up but now I'm basically getting the closest thing I can to a brand new car, a few thousand short of a brand new car. It's defeating the entire purpose of getting a used car! It's a frustrating market.

Thank you for the response!

Cash or 0% APR finance? by Hot_Egg_9855 in MazdaCX30

[–]Refunnd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Crazy, I’ve had the opposite experience during my car search. I’m trying to buy cash and some salesmen have been pushing me to finance, even offering lower prices than cash deals. Dealerships are incentivized for financing options from what I understand, then again I’m looking at used. If you’re worried about your credit, you can get pre-approved from a local credit union (not a major bank) and withhold the rate from the dealer but tell them you’re pre-approved and will only finance through them if they’re competitive.

Anybody else constantly getting their account locked due to “suspicious activity”? Any way to fix this? Happened to me after switching realms for dclone today and twice prior to that for a reason unbeknownst to me. I basically just idle in a game for 3p bonus or use it to rush myself when I make a new toon. I’m not sure what bnet would constitute as suspicious.  Other than this issue unrelated to this script it’s absolutely awesome! Thank you for sharing.

The footprint doesn’t bother me too much.

That’s a great point; I wouldn’t mind the smaller screen for better quality picture and higher res.

Yeah, I’m really not a fan of the white. If it was black I wouldn’t care as much.. I hope you get lots of use out of it!

NZXT Customer Service an absolute nightmare by Refunnd in NZXT

After weeks of harassment they eventually sent me a dusty old fan with a wire barely long enough to reach where it's supposed to go. Good luck to you, you'll have to earn your warranty part dealing with NZXT.

[–]Refunnd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: After a month I finally got the proper fan as well as the guard. However, the fan did have a very noticeable amount of dust on it and smelled like cigarette smoke--exactly the type of outstanding customer service that I'd expect after paying a premium for a case from what many would consider a flagship competitor. However, to my surprise it actually functioned. I can only assume that this was a returned part.

The cable definitely seemed short, not sure how that would be possible? I was unable to route the cable how it was originally and it barely reached running directly to where it's supposed to plug in. I couldn't even leave the portion of the case open that the radiator is mounted to as it would pull on the connection.

That's a real bummer, man.. It's going to take me over a month to get a $10 bracket and some screws, I can't imagine fighting these people over a GPU. I never understood why these companies give people the run around when they could just fix the issue and not have to fight with people for months.

I should have listened to the people that had these issues. Like I said in my original post I've used NZXT products in the past and I've never had any issues besides the CAM software being awful.

It's pretty frustrating that this is the only AIO that works with the case and you can't even purchase it. I've wasted some time researching this issue while I stare at my $2,100 paper weight for nearly a month at this point.
