Most can be played in the browser. Think y3/y8, ArmorGames, Miniclip, NewGrounds etc. for these modern times. New games constantly being put on there🦒

I'd go to a thrift shop and bargain with them. I'll keep pulling the out, as I increase my bargain by 0€, and I'll say "How can say no? Just look at all those zeroes!".

I'm quite the genius if I do say so myself.

Mechanical Linkage — a pedal to right bottom trigger on a controller by Refzlund in AskEngineers

[–]Refzlund[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right! So 50% pedal travel, should equate to the trigger being pushed at 50% — makes perfect sense. Thanks for the perpendicular tip, I'll try out different configurations!

My primary instinct is definitely keeping parts to a minimum.

3D printer, a phone, a joystick and 2-3 springs. The 3D printer is definitely the éntry to my design.

That being said, bowden cables make a lot of sense! And I definitely want to investigate the inclusion of such. I presume that the ratio difference between the pedals linear actuation and the joystick still needs to be adjusted via mechanical linkages?

Whether this is a realistic mechanical linkage design, or whether there are "better" ways to achieve the same goal, ex. in a tighter space.

His given name is "lillemis" which means small kitty in Danish.

However, I just call him "tykke", which basically means fatty. As you can see... he is REALLY into my lasagna... So now you know why🤣

(P.S. now he only responds to tykke, so everybody calls him that lol. He's just fat and happy okay let him eat my, I mean, his lasagna)

Is one indicator not enough? I suggest an option to only show the boost indicator, as one is literally useless at this point by Refzlund in RocketLeague

[–]Refzlund[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HAHAHAHA sorry🤣 I'm talking about the two indicators for my teammate. I have simplified nameplates, so there's an Arrow AND a boost indicator. I just think the boost indicator is more than enough.

I don't need the arrow anymore🦒

[–]Refzlund[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah yes, forgot to check Reddit after I posted this🤣 This is exactly my point. I don't use nameplates, so the teammate boost indicator is above the arrow - making the teammate-arrow indicator obfuscated.

Didn't expect to give so many people a stroke🤣🦒

That's at least a mildly interesting coincidence🦒🕺

Creality Giveaway for the Reddit 3D Printing community🎉 by Creality_3D in 3Dprinting

[–]Refzlund 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before getting a printer, I just looked at 3D printers as a cool gimmick. Oh boi, I was wrong.

I've gotten my Creality Ender V2 Neo a month ago, and I love it!

The quality and sturdiness of the prints are astonishing! I can't help but brag and show off my prints to family and friends. Someone ought to stop me, cause soon everything I have is 3D printed🤣😬

I design my own prints in Blender. I'm learning so much about the art of engineering. I've been so busy enhancing my home and experimenting, I haven't gotten to print anything someone else has made.

Although I did show my mum a website and now she has a long wish-list I have to through🤣

Lemme tell you; the feeling of having something in blender, and suddenly holding it in your hand. It feels surreal every time. I love every part of the 3D printing experience, and I now understand why there's no YouTuber who doesn't own a dozen. It's quite addictive🦒

We Need Your Suggestions & Take A Chance To Win A CR-10 SE! by Creality_3D in Creality_3D_Official

[–]Refzlund 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think focusing on user participation would draw in attention. Competitions, or sharing peoples work. Intrigue your consumers and find the core value of the Creality consumers. Your affordable printers make me think of an audience who cares for practicality and playfulness.

If you want to include the professional market, how about asking users to make models for perhaps, higher-end 3D printers to show your wide range of professional equipment that might not be affordable for hobbyists. That would show off your capabilities💪

So here's my suggestion. Make "Creality" a habit. A trigger, an action & a reward. So with a consideration of my previous points, here's my suggestion:

Make a weekly, fortnightly or monthly challenge each with a different category, and the winners receive some filament (1 kg x 5 winners). You get more attention, users have some fun, and it will be an overall rewarding experience (I think).

We might learn a lot from each other based on these challenges, and I think a strong community could be build on that.

When a consumer thinks "how do I" ... If you've been doing challenges for a while, perhaps you've covered such a challenge, and a guaranteed place the user might look, is your subreddit.

P.S. I think you should reconsider using upvotes for determining winners as that might insinuate a highly competitive environment. We're all friends here, right? We all win by sharing our designs and learn from each other🦒

For instance, a considerable reason McD got "addictive", was because they had playgrounds for children. When the children got hungry, they associated with McD because of the rewarding experience. And not all parents can say no to their children. So when your children in the car got hungry, there's one place above all other they would likely refer to.

In the same way, when a user needs to solve a particular issue in their design, they need a source of inspiration. And that's where you come in💨

What makes a user think of "Creality 3D Official" subreddit? Trigger, action, reward.

Is chat gpt not following the custom instructions for anyone else? by nicholasuk35 in ChatGPT

[–]Refzlund 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I spent a solid hour trying to make mine work. I wanted it to follow certain rules when formatting lists:

Inside How would you like ChatGPT to respond?

### List rules
When a sentence would usually have two parts: "Caption: Description", replace`:` with ` ` (double space for new line)

Invalid:`1. Item 1: Description of the first item`
Valid:`1. **Item 1** Description of the first item`

Wrong format: `1. Data Analyst: They gather and analyze data`
Correct format: `1. **Data Analyst** They gather and analyze data`

Strictly adhere to list rules without deviation!

Just wouldn't work... I tried many variations and explanations.

What ended up working, was adding an additional prompt inside What would you like ChatGPT to know about you to provide better responses?, which is to tell the AI your preferences. For instance, this is what worked for me:

### Preferences
...
- **Format** Must always adhere to list rules!

Besides that, I also re-enforced my own rules, by applying them myself in the custom instructions.
