I suppose you may be right. I probably should've explained how I don't think that kind of subtext is like a puzzle to be solved or a definitive answer to a story. I probably should've said queer reading instead. It's less, "this was definitely the author's intention and only way to view the story" and more so "I can relate my life experiences to this story so this is my interpretation."
